Scedosporium apiospermun and its telemorph Pserudallescheria boydii is a common opportunistic fungal pathogens in the increasing incident of infactions。 We isolated a strain of S。 apiospermun with special feature from the fresh tissue of an injuried eyeball。 To detect its character of microbiology, the relationship with P。boydii and ordinary S。 apiospermun, we amplified the internal transcribed spacer (TS) of ribosomal DNA。 The PCR amplified ITS fragements were analysis by restriction endonuclease digestion (RELP)。 The RFLP patterns of S。 apiospermun and P。 boydii were identified, but significantly different from the RFLP atterns of Aspergillus fumigatus and Cephalosporium。 So the special strain of S。apiospermun is the asexual of P。boydii。 The special RELP patters of S。 apiospermum can be used for the identification of this pathogenic agent and is telemcrphy P。boydii。
