Introduction and Regional Test of Poplar S307-26 and PE-19-66 in Shandong Province

外文摘要：S 15 varieties of Populus deltoites and P。 euramericana were introduced from Italy and Turkey in 1987 with the agreement of FAO。 Seedling selection and afforestation trials had been held at Man city， Gaotang County and Juxian County etc respectively。 The results show that two varieties， S307-26 and PE-19-66 perform well both in adaptability and growth characteristics。 The growth volumes are 36。6 % and 23。7 % larger than I-69/55 (CK) respectively at the age of 5 years。 Both varieties can be propagated easily and show high resistance to the diseases and pest attack and wood quality is relatively better than I-69/55 (CK)。
