Numerical Analysis of Thermal Stress Field for Mass Concrete with Cooling Pipe

Due to the material and structural characters of the mass concret, temperature difference is very big between inside and outside, which enlarges the temperature-stress and produces the earlier cracks very easily in mass concrete during construction and maintenance。 Applying finite element method, the temperature-stress distribution may be obtained inside the 3# pier of Wuhan TianXingZhou Bridge with cooling pipes, according to which the dropping temperature effect of cooling pipes will be analyzed。
