Self-splitting ZnO nanorods bundles and optical properties

扫码查看
Novel self-splitting ZnO nanorods bundles were prepared through a facile surfactant-free route。 Microscopic and diffraction data revealed that the as-prepared products have a wurtzite structure。 Each ZnO bundle has teens of uniform nanorods with an average diameter of 20 nm。 The time-dependent evolution process indicated that initially formed products have a cocoon-like shape and self-splitting cracks were observed at one end of the products after refluxing for 30 min。 The ZnO nanorods bundles exhibit significant decrease of the green emission around 450~550 nm which may be attributable to the surface modifying。 Temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL) measurements of the products were also did。
