In three vermifiltration column disposing residual sludge, where there were different densities of earthworm (0 g/L, 40 g/L, 60 g/L), microbial community diversity were studies by PCR-DGGE。 Results showed that different vermifiltration had different microbial diversity。 Shannon-Weaver index analysis revealed that Hs in column 2 and column 3 with earthworm were higher than that in column 1。In depth distribution, microbial diversity reduced gradually on the whole in the three vermifiltration column。 These findings indicate that earthworm occurrence could enhance microbial diversity, and improve the growth environment for bacterium。 However, their relation might be complex, and still remain to be studied in detail。
