Two experments had been finished on the early postnatal development change of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) between the two breeds including suckled Tibet piglets (on 1, 4, 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35d after brith ) and suckled crossbred piglets (Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshine) (on 1, 7, 14, 21, and 28d after brith), respectively。 The aim of this paper was using the data, including body weight (BW), the concentration for serum GH, serum IGF-I, liver and longissimus dorsi (LD) IGF-I, and the mRNA abundance for liver and LD growth hormone receptor (GHR), liver and LD IGF-I, and liver and LD IGF-I receptor (IGF-IR), respectively, to compare the difference between the two breeds with the age selected on 1, 7, 14, 21, and 28d after brith。 The results showed there were significant differences (P<0。05) for BW and the concentration, but no significant differences (P>0。05) for mRNA abundance except for LD GHR and liver IGF-IR between the two breeds with the age of 1-28d after brith。 There were no significant differences (P>0。05) for mRNA abundance, but significant differences (P<0。05) for BW and the concentration except for LD IGF concentration between the two male breeds。 There were also no significant differences (P>0。05) for mRNA abundance, but significant differences (P<0。05) for BW and the concentration between the two female breeds。 There were the same dvelopment curve pattern of age effects (P<0。05) on serum IGF-I concentration (a linear pattern) and liver IGF-IR mRNA abundance (a cubic pattern) between suckled Tibet piglets on 1-35d after brith and suckled crossbred piglets on 1-28d after brith during the early postnatal development。 There were the same effect on the correlation for the two breeds among the concentration, mRNA abundance, BW, and the relative body weight of LD, respectively。
