An Empirical Research on Influencing Factors of Mainland Chinese Outbound Tourism

China has become one of the most important international tourism source markets in the world tourism industry。 The tremendous growth potential of Chinese outbound tourism has drawn many destinations’ attention。 The paper uses the data of private travel from 1992 to 2008 to empirically analysis the influencing factors of Chinese outbound tourism。 The results show that income and the numbers of ADS positively influence the demand of Chinese outbound tourism; the number of holidays negatively influences Chinese outbound tourism demand; Population and exchange rate variables have no significant influence。
