This research was conducted to determine the effect that tetra acetyl ethylene diamine (TAED) has on the bleaching of recycled pulp。 TAED dosage, reaction temperature, reaction time, and the dosage of NaOH were the primary variables evaluated。 Results showed that the addition of TAED in hydrogen peroxide bleaching of recycled pulp results in a higher brightness of the pulp while it can be carried out at a lower temperature and in a shorter reaction time, compared with the conventional hydrogen peroxide bleaching process。
