Synthesis, Photostability and Bioactivity of 2,3-Cyclopropylized Abscisic Acid Analogues

Abscisic acid (ABA), a sesquiterpenoid, is a phytohormone that induces physiological adaptaion to environmental stresses such as drought and low temperature。 The biological response of ABA has recently been shown to be regulated by a combination of receptor protein, a negative regulator, and a positive regulator。 But synthesis of ABA analogues with higher activity and better photo-stability is still an attractive target。 Numerous studies have been conducted to develop metabolism resistant analogues of ABA, However, there were few reports about the developments of photostably analogues of ABA。 As a result, 2,3-cyclopropylized-ABA analogues were designed and synthesized according to bioisosterism, and some of which were new compounds and the structural differences lie in that the allylic group was replaced by cyclopropyl group。
