The General Model of Predicting Pulverized Coal Combustion Ratio in Blast Furnace

Improving pulverized coal combustion ratio is very important for energy conservation and stability of blast furnace。In this paper,the general model of predicting pulverized coal combustion ratio is established。The model can calculate the kinetic parameter during coal combustion process according to the coal industrial analysis。Considering actual pulverized coal injection in blast furnace,this paper studies the influence of coal diameter,coal composition and blast temperature on combustion ratio。The results show that volatile is released almost instantly。The smaller the coal diameter is,the higher the combustion ratio is。As the coal diameter is reduced by 10μm,the burnout time decreases about 24%。The coal composition has influence on coal combustion ratio。Increasing the volatile content is benificial to enhance the combustion ratio。As the blast temperature is increased by 100K,the combustion ratio will increase and the burnout time will decrease about 4%。Comparing with the coal diameter and composition,the blast temperature has less influence on coal combustion ratio。
