The lead agency responsible for the GHG inventory preparation in Egypt is the Climate Change Central Department (CCCD) at the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency。 The CCCD was established in 2009 as a result of scaling up the climate change unit that was established in 1997。 This paper presents the organizational structure and processes of the national inventory of GHG management sector in Egypt。 Information regarding the general managing authority of the GHG emissions is presented, including national inventory practice work for the transportation sector in Egypt。 In addition, the responsible organization and cooperating agencies (stakeholders) are discussed。 The inventory management step-by-step analysis is presented in this paper, also the administrative system, technical system and the resources-resources for what?。 This paper presents the legal basis and the institutional framework for what?。 Methodologies for estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by sector for the different gases in concern are presented (CO_2, CH_4, N_2O, 。。。) for the different sectors in Egypt。 These sectors include: Aviation, Road, Railway and Waterborne, each addressed according to the availability of data。 Frequency of inventory data compilation, methods, and estimation of emission factor status was presented in this report。 The trend analysis of the transportation sector in Egypt, including the national final energy consumption and ratio of the sector, is described。 This paper also presents the energy balance of Egypt in 2008 and the share of consumption by fuel type, along with the Mitigation Model Scenario of GHG Emissions from 2010 through 2030 estimated by using the LEAP Model。
