Spatial expansion of clonal plants and the growth modules is one of the important contents in research of plant ecology。Utilizing large sampling measuring, we analyzed the module components, growth regularity of vegetative propagation and regular change between the number and biomass of modules in Agropyron michnoi clones under planting single seedling in experimental plots in Songnen Plains of Northeast China at the end of growing season of the second year。The results showed that the plasticity of clonal growth was large;the coefficient of variation of both extensive areas and the quantitative characters of modules were more than 20%。The numbers of ramet, seedling, and bud and accumulative length of the rhizomes showed an exponentially and linear increasing with the increase of the areas and the total number of modules respectively。The biomass of each module showed an allometric growth of power function with total number of modules and total biomass。There were a relatively stable investment for sexual reproduction, a priority allocation strategy on biomass of reproductive ramets, and a module growth strategy of priority forming the rhizomes and the buds in the clones。
