Blood's hydrated rate is useful information in healthcare and medical applications. If we can easily evaluate blood's hydrated rate in real time, it can contribute to prevention of diseases due to decreasing hydrated rate. In this study, we proposed a method to estimate hydrated rate based on complex permittivity measurement of blood. First, to verify its validity, we measured complex permittivity of apple juice with varying hydrated rate by pure water by using of network analyzer and open ended coaxial probe, and estimated the hydrated rate by using the proposed method. The estimated hyrated rates exhibit fair accurary, which ensured the validity of the proposed method. In addition, HbAlc is useful index to know the avarage of the blood glucose levels in the past one or two months. We therefore also investigated the relationship between the hydrated rate and HbAlc of blood. The result shows a correlation coefficient of 0.5, which suggests a possibility to monitor the average blood glucose level by complex permittivity measurement.
