Engineers are trained to solve problem。 But real life problems never rely upon application of mathematical formulae or chemical equations only。 It needs judicious application of mind depending on the nature of the problem。 All engineers must understand that as human beings they must have commitments to the society in their own interest。 At the same time society cannot survive without ecological balance and wildlife is an integral part of ecology。 As such the focus of this paper is on:a)Strategic solution to the problem of dwindling wildlife by means of Wildlife Engineering andb)Planned strategy to bring social issues into the domain of engineering, which is again essential not only for proper wildlife engineering but also for peace of the North East India and as such an integral approach is needed which may be termed as "Social and Wildlife Engineering"。The study is primarily in the context of North East part of India, which is full of rich varieties of flora and fauna。 The region is also prone to different sorts of conflicts not only across border but also within the region which comprise of more than 130 different tribes。Since the development of society demands more space, the engineers must find solution to this vexed problem and provide safeguard to the endangered species of wildlife。 It needs sincere attention of the engineering educators of the world。
