Telematics (coined in 1978) has recently became a buzz word in the automobile industry as it paves the way for autonomous vehicles。 Telematics is an interdisciplinary research field that incorporates telecommunications, wireless communication, computer science and vehicular technologies into its applications。 Attributable to that examination, in the mid-1990s the telematics emerged and by the early 2000s, web-based fleet management systems were remain accessible to organizations。 In 2010, smartphone apps were created to link real-time information with mobile phones and tablets, making it significantly simpler to get data immediately。Currently, automobile companies are also working on the same。 However, all these companies are working on the cellular network which proves as a problem in the absence of network。 In this paper, we propose a project that suggests replacing the cellular network by a more reliable vehicular network called VANET, which turns every participating vehicle into a wireless router or node。 The combination of these two technologies can emerge as a new desirable innovation in the automobile industries。
