This report introduces "Electronic Circuit Assembly" in Engineering Literacy as one of the first-year experiences in Toyota Technological Institute. This course does not intend training craft techniques but motivating monodzukuri from scientific or engineering points of view. At the beginning of the practice class, students assemble a printed circuit board by soldering. They measure sensor characteristics by themselves and implement the characteristics to a control program of a line trace car.
