A Method for Optimal Combination of Anti-Bird Devices based on Analytic Hierarchy Process and Dynamic Programming

In the operation process of high voltage transmission line, bird activities is one of the important causes of trip fault。 Designing and using suitable anti-bird devices can help to avoid this kind of trip fault, and thus the effectiveness evaluation problem of devices has drawn much attention from researchers because the evaluation results will give a reliable guidelines for maintenance staff to decide which anti-bird device should be used。 However, there are some challenges in the effectiveness evaluation for the combination of the anti-bird devices。 Up to now, studies trying to overcome the challenges are rare。 Therefore, this paper proposed a method for optimal combination of anti-bird devices based on analytic hierarchy process and dynamic programming, which can provide more accurate evaluation results and optimal combination way of anti-bird devices。 First, analytic hierarchy process is applied to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-bird devices。 Then, dynamic programming is employed to give optimal combination of devices under the restriction of cost。 Finally, simulation using the data of the Jiangmen Power Supply Bureau of Guangdong Power Grid is given, which illustrate the effectiveness and practicability of the method proposed in this paper。
