The authors had proposed an adaptive cutting force observer, which prevents the estimation accuracy degradation caused by parameter fluctuation. However, the algorithm lacks opportunities for identification in some cases. Therefore, the switching type adaptive identification is introduced in this study to enhance identification opportunities.
