Our mental world (inner monologue) cannot be directly observed. In recent years, it has become clear that the inner monologues within different individuals are not similar. However, it is not easy to share the characteristics of inner monologues with others or to successfully verbalize, and there are great difficulties in studying its reality and diversity. Therefore, we conducted an online survey in which we represented several types of inner monologue as cartoons from the language reports in our previous preliminary survey, and asked participants to answer what kind of inner monologue they have based on these cartoons. As a result, we were able to obtain some data that would help us to understand the diversity of inner monologues within different individuals.
