The soldering using induction heating has the advantage of being non-contact and applicable to components with high heatcapacity in comparison with a method of the conventional soldering. In this method, it is important to design a core shapethat concentrates the magnetic flux to the object to be heated. A new core shape to enable soldering of the narrow space wasinvestigated. In this paper, the result of electromagnetic field simulation and the heating experiment for an investigated coreshape is reported.
