The members in the committee of perception information have started a novel international activity called theLife Mechatronics Symposium (LMS). Here the overview of LMS is introduced including the project called theLaboratory-Based Education organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Thispresentation shows the fundamental philosophy of the LMS-LBE project and discusses the present issues.
