Whole-rock geochemistry,Sr-Nd isotope and zircon U-Pb isotope data arereported for five granitoids and mafic dykes and enclaves from the eastern Lhasaterrane.Our zircon U-Pb data exhibit that these rocks were intruded during 83 and 45Ma.The Late Cretaceous(83Ma)granitoids with adakitic characteristics(high Sr/Yratios)display ISr of 0.7060 to 0.7065 and εNd(t)=-0.3 to -3.0 and T2DM=0.9 to 1.1Ga,indicating that they were derived from partial melting of over-thickened mafic lowercrust.
