In the current study we investigated the pharmacokinetic profile of an anti-arthritic herbalproduct,Qingfu Guanjieshu (QFGJS) capsule,in rats by profiling the primary representativecompounds sinomenine (SI),paeoniflorin (PF) and paeonol (PA) with a validated High Performance Liquid Chromatography–Diode Array Detector (HPLC–DAD) method.The chromatographic separation was achieved with an ODS columncomposed of acetonitrile and aqueous phase (containing 0.1% formicand a mobile phaseacid, adjusted withtriethylamine to pH 3.5±0.2). The developed method was validated with excellent precision,accuracy, recovery and stability in calibration ranges from 0.06 to 11.62μg/ml for SI, from 0.09 to35.70μg/ml for PF, and from 0.15 to 4.53μg/ml for PA (with r2>0.999 for all three compounds).
