The purpose of the study was to analyze the impact of China-SSA trade on SSA GDP.Dataused to analyze the impact of trade to GDP was China-SSA import and export data asindependent variable as well as SSA GDP as dependent variable. The four measurement usedon independent data was export, import, trade volume and net export.Correlation andregression analysis was implemented to determine the impact and the strength of the impact.Four regression model was formed each for each independent data measurement againstGDP.Both independent and dependent data were transformed to Log10 before performing theregression and correlation analyses. After the analysis it was found that the correlation of China-SSA export, import, tradevolume and net export against SSA GDP using the Log10 transformed data of China-SSAexport, import, trade volume, net export against SSA GDP are 0.927, 0.917, 0.940, and 0.772respectively.The regression analysis was carried to further assess the strength of the impactbetween China-SSA trade and SSA GDP growth. The study found that; the total China-SSAtrade volume, import, export and net export have strict correlation with SSA GDP.From theanalysis it is seen that the correlation between export and GDP is bigger than that betweenimport and GDP. The hypotheses were tested and there was enough evidence from the correlation andregression analysis to support the conclusion that there is a significant impact of China SSAtrade to SSA economic growth.
