The aim is to execute actions through external devices by analyzing the bioelectric signals from the human eye or electrooculograms (EOGs). More concretely, an EOG digital controller to work as assistive technology for motor disabled people is described. Various pairs of electrodes are used on an individual to capture EOG signals through a two-channel input module. Various gestures are defined. In the processing, the EOG signal is categorized in positive, negative and small values. A finite vector is used to count the sequences or runs of those values. After analyzing the last of those runs and if some proposed conditions are met, then that portion of the signal is marked as a desired pattern. The resulting method was tested in two applications. In the first application, the system controlled functions of a computer mouse and, in the second, keyboard functions were controlled through the proposed device. Additionally, a 'robust' version of the system is presented. This version implements infrared sensor technology. With this technology, the number of patterns or gestures of the eye under recognition was increased. (c) 2025 L&H Scientific Publishing, LLC. All rights reserved.

Effective urban safety management is crucial, and mental health stands out as a significant factor among the challenges. Poor mental health, often linked to unemployment, can lead to increased crime rates, driven by the frustration of those struggling to find stability. This manuscript explores, for the first time, the intricate relationship between urban safety, mental health, and unemployment. We propose a novel approach utilizing advanced machine learning techniques, particularly time series analysis with neural networks, to investigate these connections. By examining the influence of employment satisfaction on mental health and urban safety, we aim to uncover patterns and predictive indicators that can inform more effective urban management strategies. Our research aligns directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). To mitigate this degradation, a mixed formula of potassium iodide (KI) and sodium (Z)-4-oxo-4-p-tolyl-2-butenoate was applied as a green corrosion inhibitor. The effectiveness of this eco-friendly solution was evaluated using various analytical techniques, including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The SEM and EDX analyses revealed a significant reduction in corrosion-related surface damage after treatment, while EIS results confirmed the high inhibitory efficiency of the formula in preventing further corrosion of the bronze artifacts. The study demonstrates that this mixed inhibitor formula not only provides robust protection against corrosion but also offers a sustainable approach to preserving the integrity of cultural heritage artifacts. This research highlights the potential for environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors to play a critical role in the conservation of metal artifacts exposed to harsh environmental conditions. To be more precise, we combine regularised Hilfer-Prabhakar (RHP) and two-parameter Atangana-Baleanu (SABC) fractional derivatives with constant proportional derivatives. This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the implications and uses of these hybrid operators as they relate to differential equations with constant proportional derivatives. A mathematical model is formulated to investigate this effect, specifically considering two cases: one with infected bovine immigration and another without it. In the first case, the immigration is assumed to occur only in bovines, excluding the tick population. The key finding of this case reveals that the epidemic remains persistent and the system admits a unique endemic equilibrium that is globally asymptotically stable. In the second case, the model assumes immigration of bovines exclusively in the susceptible and recovered populations. In this scenario, the dynamics of the model are governed by the basic reproduction number, denoted as R-0 . When R-0 < 1, the disease is predicted to die out, as indicated by the global asymptotic stability of the disease-free equilibrium. Conversely, when R-0 > 1, the disease persists, and the unique endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. To further validate these findings, numerical simulations are conducted, providing additional support for the obtained results. (c) 2025 L&H Scientific Publishing, LLC. All rights reserved.

By extending the traditional notion of derivatives to non-integer orders, fractional derivatives bring the concept of differentiation to fractional orders. This concept is associated with fractional calculus, a mathematical field that deals with arbitrary, non-integer order differentiation and integration. This study takes into account the logistic equation, the blood alcohol model with unique fractional derivatives, and Newton's law of cooling in a number of modeling problems. The Sumudu transform is used to get the analytical answers, and figures are used to model the results in various orders. The derivative proposed by Caputo Fabrizio and Atangana Baleanu is extended to fractional derivatives with Mittag-Leffler and exponential-decay kernels. We also investigated the effects of the power-law kernel by Caputo and constant proportional Caputo derivatives. To demonstrate how the answers are simulated, we offer a few figures. We have shown the efficiency of the Sumudu transform on several models. (c) 2025 L&H Scientific Publishing, LLC. All rights reserved.
