    查看更多>>摘要:The main goal of this paper is to present the design of a surface electromyography acquisition, processing and amplification system with low power consumption. Based on a micro-controller and a Bluetooth module, it must send the data to a cell phone in real time. The main topology is based on an operational amplifier and passive components in order to produce filters and an instrumentation amplifier applied to Electromyography (EMG). This paper also shows the equations used during design and describes each step of development, from simulations and testing to acquired data and microcontroller programming. In order to produce a low-cost circuit that can be later used as an acquisition tool for portable mechanisms and prosthesis, the design of the main circuit considers the lowest number of components while it does not compromise efficiency.

    查看更多>>摘要:A consistent study of the consequence of the azimuthal angle φ on the susceptibility and the hysteresis of the nanoparticles is performed, we treat the problem with Brown's magnetic equation thereby extending the statistical moment method. The (DMH) loops are obtained, the principal-axis of the magnetization is oriented to the direction of the field under an any azimuthal angle. It's demonstrated that the hysteresis and the nonlinear ac susceptibility powerfully depend on the Azimuthal angle φ.

    查看更多>>摘要:We propose an alternative algorithm referred to RVM (relevance vector machine) to circumvent the support vector machine's (SVM) unnecessary use of basic functions, a large number of support vectors, lack of probabilistic prediction, and longer time computation complexity (TCC). Global annual land-ocean average temperature (GASAT) data and WTI oil market price data extracted from the National Aeronautic and Space Administration US and the US Energy Administration, respectively. The data were preprocessed and used to build RVM models. To evaluate the proposed RVM, its performance was compared to that of a SVM. The results were validated using ANOVA. A significant correlation between the two datasets was found. The relevance vectors for the RVM were significantly less than the support vectors for the SVM, and the TCC for the RVM was significantly better than the TCC for the SVM. The prediction accuracy of both the RVM and the SVM were found to be statistically equal. The RVM model was able to project the impact of GASAT on WTI crude oil prices from 2014 to 2023. The projection can be used by intergovernmental organizations to formulate a global response to combat WTI crude oil price negative impact, which is expected to worsen in the next decade.

    查看更多>>摘要:In this paper, it is described a new design of a digital Lock-In amplifier applied to 4-Kelvin- probe electrodes for the measurement of complex electrical variables. The proposed design is based on the operation of a Phase Sensitive Detection (PSD) circuit and on signal acquisition by the Nyquist principle. The hardware basically consists of a programmable embedded system and an analog interfacing circuit. The microcontroller within the circuit was programmed using standard C language for portability and performs the acquisition of the resulting signal along with mathematical operations. Experimental tests on the prototype have shown that it performs as theoretically predicted.

    Nystr?m Method to Solve Two-Dimensional Volterra Integral Equation with Discontinuous Kernel

    查看更多>>摘要:In this paper, a linear two-dimensional Volterra integral equation of the second kind with the discontinuous kernel is considered. The conditions for ensuring the existence of a unique continuous solution are mentioned. The product Nystr?m method, as a well-known method of solving singular integral equations, is presented. Therefore, the Nystr?m method is applied to the linear Volterra integral equation with the discontinuous kernel to convert it to a linear algebraic system. Some formulas are expanded in two dimensions. Weights' functions of the Nystr?m method are obtained for kernels of logarithmic and Carleman types. Some numerical applications are presented to show the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method. Maple18 is used to compute numerical solutions. The estimated error is calculated in each case. The Nystr?m method is useful and effective in treating the two-dimensional singular Volterra integral equation. Finally, we conclude that the time factor and the parameter v have a clear effect on the results.

    Design and Implementation of an Adaptable Trickle Algorithm for Amelioration of RPL Usage in Internet of Things Networks

    查看更多>>摘要:The efficient message routing is highly challenging in terms of low power and lossy networks (IoT) for transmission of data with overhead and delay. The protocols used for routing need to be designed such that they should be working efficiently. Efficiency in calculated in terms of energy and delivery of packets. RPL protocol is also designed with the aim of making these two parameters efficient. Even then it contains drawbacks. Trickle algorithm is designed with a goal to reduce the drawbacks in RPL. Trickle algorithm is used in RPL protocols for creation of routes between nodes in the network with different intervals. Unfortunately, there exists some more downsides for the trickle algorithm, which made design of several algorithms inorder to analyse different drawbacks. In this paper, on analysing different types of trickle algorithms and locating the drawback in every algorithm, a novel algorithm is designed which helps in reduction of the drawbacks that are found. The description of this algorithm along with the simulation results done using Cooja 3.0 simulator is also discussed in this paper. The Simulation of the algorithm that is newly designed is done by assuming a network with different count of nodes and comparing the results with the previously introduced Trickle algorithms.

    Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) Clustering with Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) Model for Detection and Classification of Rice Plant Diseases in Internet of Things-Cloud Centric Precision Agriculture

    查看更多>>摘要:Presently, the field of Internet of Things (IoT) has been employed in diverse applications like Smart Grid, Surveillance, Smart homes, and so on. Precision Agriculture is a concept of farm management which makes use of IoT and networking concepts to improve the crop health. Recognition of diseases from the plant images is an active research topic which makes use of machine learning (ML) approaches. This paper introduces an effective rice plant disease identification and classification model to identify the type of disease from infected rice plants. The proposed method aims to detect three rice plant diseases such as Bacterial leaf blight, Brown spot, and Leaf smut. The proposed method involves a set of different processes namely image acquisition, preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction and classification. At the earlier stage, IoT devices will be used to capture the image and stores it with a cloud server, which executes the classification process. In the cloud, the rice plant images under preprocessing to improvise the quality of the image. Then, fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering method is utilized for the segmentation of disease portion from a leaf image. Afterwards, feature extraction takes place under three kinds namely color, shape, and texture. Finally, probabilistic neural network (PNN) is applied for multi-class classification. A detailed experimental analysis ensured the effective classification performance of the proposed method under all the test images applied.

At any pair of coordinates (x, y), the amplitude of a point is called the intensity of that pixel. Digital Image comprises a predictable number of components, each of which has a precise value at a given region. Those components are called pixels. Image Fusion is a phenomenon of transforming data from two or more images of a scenario into a single, more descriptive image taken than both of the input images, and is more appropriate for information processing. Image Fusion (IF) has been utilized in numerous application regions/areas. Remote Sensing Satellites (RSS) produce different images based on their sensory characteristics. Among those images, Panchromatic (PAN) and Multi-Spectral (MS) images are widely used in Satellite Image Fusion (SIF). The Image Fusion (IF) techniques are broadly classified as methods for the Spatial and Frequency domains. Wavelet Fusion Techniques (WFT) based on the Frequency-Domain (FD) are having applications in medical, space, and military applications. This literature delivers a study of some of the Image Fusion (IF) techniques. Remote Sensing Image (RSI) and Data Fusion (DF) seeks to merge the data acquired from sensors installed on satellites, airborne platforms, and ground-based sensors with specific spatial, spectral and temporal resolutions to produce merged data containing more accurate information than is found in each of the individual data sources.
