查看更多>>摘要:The genus Ophthalmitis Oberthur in China is reviewed and four new species are described: O. dissita sp. nov., O. lon-giprocessa sp. nov., O. brevispina sp. nov., and O. tumefacta sp. nov. Two subspecies of O. albosignaria — O. albosig-naria juglandaria and O. albosignaria isophnia — are newly synonymized with the nominate subspecies. A key is provided to the Chinese Ophthalmitis and diagnoses for Chinese species. Illustrations of extemal features and genitalia are presented.
查看更多>>摘要:Steleops buitrerensis n. sp. is here described and illustrated; it constitutes the 14th species known in the genus, the 12th known in the neotropics, and the first in the genus to be recorded in Colombia. The forewings and antennae are sexually dimorphic, and the head pattern of coloration, as well as the genital structure, separates it from the other described species. The location of the types is indicated in the description, and a key is included to separate it from the other South American species. S. pulcher New, previously known only in Mato Grosso, Brazil, is here recorded in Colombia.
查看更多>>摘要:The type material of the nominal species Caiusa coomani Seguy, 1948 (Diptera, Calliphoridae), now placed in Phumosia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830, has been examined and a lectotype designated to fix the interpretation of the name. In Hong Kong the larval stages of the species is a predator on the egg masses in foam nests of the brown tree frog Polypedates megacephalus Hallowell, 1861 (Anura, Rhacophoridae). Phumosia coomani is known from China, Japan and Vietnam. Discrepancies between the figured genitalia and the extemal features in Chinese reference works are pointed out.
查看更多>>摘要:The Neotropical genus Parastagmatoptera Saussure includes medium-sized species distributed in tropical and subtropical areas of Central and Southern America. Thirteen nominal species have been so far described (Agudelo et al. 2007), with most speciescurrently knovm from few specimens, often of one sex only. Beier (1963) described Parastagmatoptera abnormis Beier, 1963 based on a single male specimen fi'om Surinam. Unfortunately, Beier's original description lacks enough details to allow an accurateliterature-based identification and, since its original description, no additional specimens ascribable to P. abnormis have been recorded.

查看更多>>摘要:The genus Neoperla is for the first time recorded for Henan Province, China. Herein, we illustrate with color photographs three species, including Neoperla yaoshana sp. nov. The relationship of the new species with closely related ones is discussed and notes for two additional species presented. Neoperla is the second largest genus in the family Perlidae with 212 currently valid species worldwide (DeWalt et al. 2010, Stark and Sivec 2008). Recently, Stark and Sivec (2008) summarized the history of the genus and described 15 additional species from Vietnam. The genus is also species-rich in China where 64 species have been recorded (Du et al. 1999 and see Table 1).
