A systematic revision of the Australian ploiarioline thread-legged assassin bugs (Hemiptera: Reduviidae: Emesinae)

NIKOLAI J. TATARNICMICHAEL A. WALLGERASIMOS CASSIS
    30页
查看更多>>摘要:The Australian members of the emesine tribe Ploiaiolini (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae) are revised. A key, as well as diagnoses and figures, are presented for all 16 Australian species. Seven new species are described. Four species previously not recorded from Australia are included in the continent's fauna. Emesopsis is expanded to include species in which the basal cell of the forewing is absent.

Microlepidoptera of Hong Kong: Oecophoridae II: description of three new species of the genus Variacma Wang

    Wang, Shu-XiaYuan, Gai-XiaKendrick, Roger C. .
    6页
查看更多>>摘要:Three new species of the genus Variacma Wang are described from Hong Kong, China: V. hongkongensis sp. nov., V. bifariafera sp. nov. and V. tomentosa sp. nov. The female is recorded for the first time for the genus and the generic characters are redescribed. Images of adults and genitalia are provided, along with a key to all the known species based on the male genitalia.

Description of Chaetocladius longivirgatm sp. n., with a review of C. suecicus (Kieffer) (Diptera: Chironomidae)

    ELISABETH STURMARTIN SPIES

查看更多>>摘要:The male imago of Chaetocladius longivirgatus sp. n. is described and diagnosed against a refined characterization of the species understood as C. suecicus (Kieffer) since Edwards (1929). The two species are separated by both morphology and partial COI sequences (DNA barcodes). An additional single male specimen shows pairwise genetic distances to C. suecicus and C. longivirgatus sp. n. as high as those between the latter two species, thus may represent a third European member in this species group.Morphologically, however, that male is inseparable from those of C. suecicus.

Description of a new genus, Boucekinus (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Torymidae), with two new species and a discussion of its placement

    PETR JANSTAJITKA VILIMOVAPAUL HANSON
    7页
查看更多>>摘要:Boucekinus gen. nov. and two new species, B. masneri sp. nov. from Ecuador and B. tatianae sp. nov. from Costa Rica, are described; B. tatianae is designated as the type species. Boucekinus tatianae was reared from cecidomyiid galls on Anemopaegma chrysoleucum (Bignoniaceae) and 5. masneriwas collected by canopy fogging. The placement of this new genus within Torymidae is discussed.

Description of the final instar larva oi Progomphus joergemeni Ris (Epiprocta: Gomphidae)

    FEDERICO LOZANOJAVIER MUZON
    5页
查看更多>>摘要:The final instar larva of Progomphus joergenseni is described and illustrated for the first time based on specimens collected in Rio Negro Province, northem Patagonia, Argentina. Right mandibular molar crest shows an extreme reduction in the number ofteeth with no intermediates between teeth a and b. Anteimal, leg and paraprocts morphology suggest a close relationship with the species included in the Pygmaeus group, but P. joergenseni differs from them because of its larger size and longer anal pyramid.

Description of the unknown male of the Afrotropical Heissocteus ernsti J. A. Lis (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae: Cephalocteinae)

查看更多>>摘要:Heissocteus ernsti was described from Zambia (Lis 2006) as a genus and species new to science. Despite the fact that its description was based on a single female, the morphological characters could place the new taxon close to Cephalocteus Dufour, theonly genus of the tribe Cephalocteini (Cydnidae: Cephalocteinae) known at then (Lis 1999). Browsing through the burrower-bug material from Namibia (received several years ago for identification from the Museum fur Naturkunde der Humboldt-Universitat inBerlin, Germany), I found a single male of H. ernstii; its description is presented below.
