As a result of these trips, four genera {Cryptonympha, Harpagobae-tis, Spiritiops and Zelusid) and nine species are reported for the first time from this region. A discussion of each taxon is included as well as drawings when it is necessary. Keys with all known genera of Baetidae and all known species of Cam-elobaetidius from Venezuela are included too. With this analysis, the number of the genera and species reported is duplicated improving the knowledge of this family from this country.

Macroscopic and microscopic characters of the three immature female stages are described and illustrated for the first time. An identification key to the female instars is provided and a brief discussion is also included comparing their morphology with those of other Ceroplastinae.

A key to the males is provided including figures of the genital ligula and caudal appendages. A distributional record of Coenagrion armatum is excluded from China. Coenagrion bifurcatum Zhu & Ou-yan, 2000, is assigned as a junior synonym of Coenagrion johanssoni (Wallengren, 1894). Coenagrion chusanicum Navas, 1933 is assigned as a junior synonym of Par-acercion hieroglyphicum (Brauer, 1865). Coenagrion dorothea Fraser, 1924 is newly combined as Paracercion dorothea (Fraser, 1924) comb. nov. Coenagrion impar Needham, 1930 and Cercionyunnanensis Zhu & Han, 2000 are both treated as junior synonyms of Paracercion dorothea. Coenagrion holdereri (Forster, 1900) is redescribed here based on fresh specimens.

Yemmatropis hsiaoi sp. nov. and Yemmatropis nigrovittatus sp. nov. are described. Photographs of head and pronotum and drawings of openings of male genital capsules and parameres of all four species, and a key to all Yemmatropis species, are provided to assist in identification. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, College of Life Sciences, Nankai University, Tianjin, China.

A key to males of the seven species of Panava is given. The subgenus Bezzisca Lopesof the predominantly Neotropical genus Dexosarcophaga Townsend comprises 17 species, including a new one described herein, D. (B.) tracua sp. nov. from Brazil. The key to species of D. (Bezzisca) by Silva and Mello-Patius (2010) is modified to include this new species.

The larvae were found associated with adults. The larva of P. cinereus is mostsimilar to larvae of species of the Mexican and Central American genera Disersus Sharp and Hispaniolara Brown, but can be easily distinguished chiefly by the head being not visible when seen from above, due to being concealed by the anterior projectionof the pronotum. Comparisons of the three genera are presented. Photographs of the adult habitus of P. cinereus are also furnished. A key to the larvae of the genera of Larainae of Brazil is included.
