Supraspecific taxonomy of Palaearctic Platycleidini with unarmed prosternum: a morphological approach (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae, Tettigoniinae)

查看更多>>摘要:Authors analysed 33 supraspecific taxa of Palaearctic Platycleidini with unarmed prosternum, most of them hitherto considered genera or subgenera of Platycleis and Metrioptera. For each of them they give a short description of the characters revealingthe correct classification of males and females. Then, they propose a more consistent classification, when both males and females of a supraspecific taxon are clearly distinct, they should be elevated to distinct genera. On the whole, they propose to classify Palaearctic taxa into 32 genera, for which they propose a key based on the characters used in this paper and illustrated by 140 photographs. Additionally, they describe the following new genera: Sardoplatycleis for Platycleis galvagnii from Sardinia, Amedegnatiana for Parnassiana vicheti from Mediterranean France; and the following new species: Platycleis buzzettii from Iran and Squamiana bressani from Uzbekistan. For each genus they list all the species known, pointing out also those which, forscarcity of specimens, have been tentatively classified within that genus and that probably should be better assigned to another one. Further, they synonymise Incertana with Decorana, define the actual taxonomical status of the group Roese-liana roeselii, R. fedtschenkoi, R. azami and R. brunneri, reinstate Tessellana carinata from Balkan peninsula, establish that T. nigrosignata is restricted only to S Italy, while in Balkan peninsula its related T. orina occurs.

A diagnosis for all species, illustrations and anidentification key is provided. All species are found in the midwestern and southeastern states of the U.S., except A. caninus which is recorded from Arizona and New Mexico, and are all associated with native grasslands.

查看更多>>摘要:The genus Stenogephyra Lyneborg is revised and includes seven species from the Afrotropical Region. Stenogephyra di-aneae spec, nov., S.janiceae spec, nov., S. namibiensis spec, nov., S. parkeri spec, nov., and S. schlingeri spec. nov. are new to science. Each new species is described and illustrated and the pupa of S. torrida is described and figured. Distribution maps for each species are given. A key to the species of Stenogephyra is provided.

Two new species of the genus Irepacma Moriuti, Saito & Lewvanich (Lepidoptera: Oecophoridae) from Guizhou Province, China

It shared the two-segmented labial palpus in male with the closely related genera Periacma Meyrick, 1894, Ripeacma Moriuti, Saito & Lewvanich, 1985 and Epiracma Wang, 2005. The typical character to distinguish Irepacma from its allies is the absence of the apophyses anteriores in the female genitalia. In the male genitalia it is closer to Periacma Meyrick, but can be distinguished mostly by the absence of the dorso-proximal process of the valva, or by having a dorso-proximal process that often far exceeds half the length of the valva. To date, 18 Irepacma species have been described, distributed mostly in the Oriental and Palaearctic regions. Among the known species, four were described from Thailand (Moriuti et al. 1989), one from Burma in Periacma but transferred to the present genus (Moriuti et al. 1989), and 15 were recorded in China (Wang 2006).
