Nevertheless, recent re-definitions of the subgenus, as well as recently described species, made recognition of individual species more difficult. In this study we review all species belonging to the subgenus occurring in the Amazon Basin, as well as those species belonging to the closely related subgenus Glossuropoda Moure,H989, and report newrecords of Euglossa (Glossura) lugubris Roubik, 2004 and Euglossa (Glossura) occidentalis Roubik, 2004 for Brazil. Additionally, an illustrated identification key for all fifteen species of both subgenera recorded for the Amazon Basin is provided.

Members of the tribe are reviewed including the genus Benglebra Mahmood & Ahmed 1969 from Bangladesh, which was previously placed in Typhlocybinae, new placement. The identities of its two included species, B. alami Mahmood & Ahmed and B. bipunc-tata Mahmood & Ahmed are discussed, and their types re-examined and illustrated. Two other, included and figured, Mukariini newly recorded from Bangaldesh and Pakistan are: Mukaria splendida Distant and Flatfronta sp., respectively. Hussainiana tripunctata Mahmood & Ahmed 1969 is synonymised With Kolla ceylonica Melichar 1903, syn. nov., of the subfamily Cicadellinae, resulting in the synonymy of Hussainiana withKolla Distant 1908, syn. nov.

Another five species of Phoridae (Gymnophora arcuata (Meigen, 1830), Metopina heselhausi Schmitz, 1914, Mi-croselia rivieraeSchmitz, 1934, Peromitra cephalotes (Schmitz, 1922), Peromitra erythrocera (Meigen, 1830)) are recorded as new to the fauna of Israel. The previously unknown male of Microselia rivierae is described, diagnostic characters of males of the genus MicroseliaSchmitz, 1934 are discussed.

(Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, that parasitize Phacopteron lentiginosum Buckton (Hemiptera: Psyllidae), a leaf-galler of Garuga pinnata Roxburgh (Burseraceae), are described. The two species are differentiated from other known Indian species of the genus through modifying a previously published key to species.

The species are endemic in Australia and compared to the other species of the mainly Papuan genus. Malegenitalia and habitus are illustrated. Distribution maps and an identification key are given. The genus Birdantis presently comprises twelve species distributed in New Guinea and neighbouring islands (Nagai and Porion, 1996). It is divided into two subgenera: Birdantis Stal, 1863 (ten species and one subspecies), and Myrilla Distant 1888 (two species) (Fennah, 1977; Nagai and Porion, 1996). The genus is close to the Oriental Polydictya Guerin-Meneville, 1844 and Gehenna Stal, 1863, and the Australian Desudaboides Musgrave, 1927 (Lallemand, 1963; Nagai and Porion, 1996; Constant, 2010).

Of these, 31 are known from the neotropical region (Weiner & Najt 2001), of which eight (Abrantes et al. 2010) have so far been found in Brazil: B. agrosa Wray, 1953, B. aspera (Borner, 1906), B. ceciliae Fernandes & Mendonca, 2004, B. villalobosi Cassagnau & Rapoport, 1962, B. platensis Najt & Massoud, 1974, B. septemoculata Denis, 1931 and the cosmopolitan B. parvula (Schaffer, 1896) and B. contorta Denis, 1931. The majority(53) of the species in the genus have 8+8 eyes with the exception of five species: B. septemoculata Denis, 1931 with 7+7 eyes, B. sexoculata Massoud, 1967, with 6+6 eyes, and B. chilensis (Rapoport & Rubio, 1963), B. montebella Najt & Palacios-Vargas, 1987 and B. zerpa Weiner & Najt, 2001 with 5+5 eyes. The new species is the first in the genus to have only 2+2 eyes.
