The genus Ichromantis Paulian, 1957, is newly determined as a junior synonym to Platycalymma, which results in the inclusion of two additional species within the genus, P. befasica (Paulian, 1957) and/! dichroica (Paulian, 1957), both re-described within this study. In addition, we add three new species to the genus described from Madagascar: P. annulicornis n. sp., P. mahafalica n. sp. and/! viettei n. sp. A key to the six species in English and French is provided for increased accessibility to the people of Madagascar. Illustrations of major features used to diagnose species are provided including the head, pronotum, apex of abdomen and male genitalia. Species distribution is presented and locality coordinates are provided in print as well as being available for download as a KML file viewable in Google Earth.

The known range of S. apiculata Marshall and Buck, 2009, previously known from Amazonian Peruand Ecuador, is extended for the first time to Brazil. The phylogenetic tree and key of Marshall et al, 2009 are emended to include the new species and new information on S. papaveroi.

Comparative descriptions of males and females of C. zentae sp. nov. and C. kayi sp. nov., pupae of C. zentae and redescriptions of C. marksi Lee & Reye, C. dycei Lee & Reye, C. parvimaculatus Lee & Reye and C. pseudostigmat-icus Tokunaga are presented together with distributional data and keys for their specific determination. The designated type species of the subgenus isC. marksi. Marksomyia is further subdivided into three species complexes based on the shape and sclerotisation of the spermathecae.

The examined specimens attracted to Cue lure. The type is deposited in Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing (IZCAS).

The deltocephaline tribeParalimnini Distant is distributed worldwide and currently contains about 132 genera and 550 species. Webb and Heller (1990) provided a checklist of Oriental Paralimnini with 11 genera and 23 species, among them, 2 genera and 2 species recorded from China. Zhang (1990) only recorded 1 genus and 1 species in this tribe from China. More recently, a total of 26 genera (12 genera in the Oriental Region) and 62 species of the Paralimnini have been reported to occur in China (Xing et al, 2009, 2010, 2011; Xing & Li, 2011; Li et al, 2011; Zhang et al, 2009). Most members of the tribe are closely associated with grass dominated habitats. With the exception of some species of Paralaevicephalus Ishihara (Xing et al. 2009) members of the Paralimnini can be recognized by having a connective that is widest at or near the base of the anterior arms and articulated with the aedeagus. During a study of the Chinese Deltocephalinae we discovered a new Oriental paralimnine genus and species that are described below. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).
