    Descriptions of mature larvae and pupae of the genus Larinus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae, Lixinae)

    查看更多>>摘要:Descriptions of mature larvae of four species of the genus Larinus Dejean, 1821 are given: larvae of L. (Larinomesius) obtusus Gyllenhal, 1835 and L. (Phyllonomeus) turbinatus Gyllenhal, 1836 are described for the first time, and larvae of L. (s. str.) pollinis (Laicharting, 1781) and L. {Phyllonomeus) sturnus (Schaller, 1783) are described for the first time in detail. A revised identification key for the mature larvae and a new key for pupae are presented.

    查看更多>>摘要:The Chinese group of Thalassodes and related taxa, including four genera and eighteen species is reviewed. Four new species are described: Pelagodes paraveraria sp. nov., Pelagodes bellula sp. nov., Pelagodes simplvalvae sp. nov., Pel-agodes sinuspinae sp. nov. The genus Remiformvalva, the species Remiformvalva viridicaput, Orothalassodes floccosa and Pelagodes clariflmbria are recorded for the first time from China. Descriptions and diagnoses of the genera and diagnoses for the species are provided.The female genitalia of R. viridicaput are described for the first time. Moths of all species are illustrated in colour and figures of the genitalia and the male eighth segment are provided.

    查看更多>>摘要:The true Dythemis multipunctata Kirby is illustrated and the female is described for the first time based on specimens from the type locality, St. Vincent (Lesser Antilles). The taxonomic status of the species is discussed, and notes on behavior, habitat, and range distribution are provided. D. multipunctata is to be considered a subspecies of D. sterilis (Hagen), and mainland populations previously known as multipunctata are now to be called D. nigra Martin.

    A new group of species of Edessa Fabricius, 1803 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae)

    查看更多>>摘要:Three new species of Edessa (E. metallica sp. nov., E. preclara sp. nov., E. splendens sp. nov.) are described which form a distinct species group. The metallica group is characterized by a metallic blue or green dorsal color. Edessa preclara sp. nov.and is. splendens sp. nov. have an Andean distribution, having been collected above 1000 meters in Ecuador and Colombia respectively. Edessa metallica sp. nov. has been collected in Panama. Illustrations of the metasternal process and male and female external genitalia, photographs of the habitus, and descriptions are provided.
