    Revision and phylogeny of Chelagyrtodes Szymczakowski (Coleoptera: Leiodidae: Camiarinae: Agyrtodini)

    查看更多>>摘要：The formerly monotypic New Zealand leiodid genus Chelagyrtodes Szymczakowski (type species Chelagyrtodes crow-soni Szymczakowski) is revised to include five new species from the South Island: C.mewtoni n. sp., C. rotundus n. sp., C. haasti n. sp., C.glacicola n. sp., and C davidi n. sp. Four of these new species lack the unusual tibial dimorphism previously used to diagnose this genus, but can be recognized by the presence of a subapical spine cluster on the interior face of the mandible, procoxal cavities with an anterior carina or bead, and a series of minute, setiferous punctures along the lateral margins of the hypomeron. A key and phylogenetic analysis based on adult morphology is provided for the six species of Chelagyrtodes. Natural historyand distribution of Chelagyrtodes are discussed in the context of phylogenetic data.

An updated and annotated checklist of the Oryctini of the Neotropical and Nearctic realms is included. This now includes 14 genera, 133 extant species, and two extinct species. Tehuacaniaporioni Dechambre, 2009 (Oryctini) is reduced to synonymy with Barutus hart-manni Ratcliffe, 2003 (Pentodontini).

    Taxonomic notes on Chinese Cercyon: description of a new species, new synonyms, and additional faunistic records (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae: Sphaeridiinae)

    查看更多>>摘要：A new species, Cercyon (Clinocercyon) hanseni sp. nov., is described from Jiangxi and Guizhou Provinces, China. Based on a study of type material, the following synonymies are proposed for the species occurring in China: Cercyon signifer Hebauer, 2002is synonymized with C. (s. str.) berlovi Shatrovskiy, 1999, Cercyon guangxiensis Wu et Pu, 1995 with Cercyon (s. str.) quisquilius (Linnaeus, 1761), Cercyon nigrostriatus Wu et Pu, 1995 with Cercyon (Clinocercyon) lineolatus (Motschulsky, 1863), Cercyonvicinaloides d'Orchymont, 1925, and Cercyon tropisternus Wu et Pu, 1995 with Cercyon (Paracycreon) laminatus Sharp, 1873, and Cercyon linearis Wu et Pu, 1995 with Cercyon {Paracycreon) subsolanus Bal-four-Browne, 1939. A lectotype is designated for Cercyon vicinalis var. vicinaloides d'Orchymont, 1925. Three Palaearc-tic species are recorded from China for the first time: Cercyon (s. str.) ovillus Motschulsky, 1860, Cercyon (s. str.) olibrus Sharp, 1874 and Cercyon (s. str.) unipunctatus (Linnaeus, 1758). Additional faunistic data from China are provided for Cercyon berlovi and Cercyon nigriceps (Marsham, 1802). Cercyon amplelevatus Jia, 1995 is transferred to the genus Ar-mostus Sharp, 1890. A checklist of all Cercyon species recorded from China is presented, along with a tentative identification key.

    A new species of Greenisca and two new species of Ovaticoccus from Italy (Hemiptera Coccoidea Eriococcidae), with a key to European genera of Eriococcidae.

    查看更多>>摘要：Three new eriococcid species from Italy are described and illustrated, najnely Greenisca oreophila sp. n. off Poaceae, and Ovaticoccus exoticus sp. n. and O. agavacearum sp. n., off Agavaceae. Their morphological relationships are discussed and keys to Greenisca and Ovaticoccus species are provided, together with a key to the Eriococcidae genera so far known in Europe. A check-list of Italian Eriococcids is added.
