查看更多>>摘要：Three species of previously described Myrsidea from the birds Lochmias nematura obscurata Cabanis, Automolus ochro-laemus (Tschudi, 1844) (both Furnariidae) and Pachyramphus cinnamomeus Lawrence, 1861 (Cotingidae) are redescribed, including new host and geographical records. Five new species of Myrsidea from the Neotropics are described and illustrated. These species and their type hosts are: M. waterstoni n. sp. from Anabacerthia variegaticeps (Sclater), M. meyi n. sp. from Syndactyla subalaris (Sclater) (Furnariidae), M. dalgleishi n. sp. from Glyphorynchus spirurus (Vieillot) (Dendrocolaptidae), M. cicchinoi n. sp. from Rhynchocyclus olivaceus (Temminck) (Tyrannidae), and M. castroae n. sp. from Atlapetes albinucha gutturalis (Lafresnaye) (Emberizidae). Sequences of a portion of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (COI) gene for four of these new species were highly divergent from those of other species of Myrsidea.
查看更多>>摘要：The genus Anepholcia Prout, 1924 of the subfamily Pantheinae is revised. Three new species (Anepholcia kobesi sp. n., A. brechlini sp. n. and A. philippina sp. n) from Sumatra and Phlippines are described. The misidentification of A. talboti Prout, 1924 by Kobes is corrected. A key for identification of Anepholcia species based on external characters and male genitalia characters is provided.
查看更多>>摘要：The Egyptian fauna of the genus Ruppellia Wiedemann, 1830 is revised based on new material from Egypt, Israel, Oman, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Yemen and on reexamination of the types in Egyptian collections. We recognize two distinct species: Ruppellia semiflava Wiedemann, 1830 and Ruppellia ihoracica (Macquart, 1840). Ruppellia pallida Krober, 1929 and Ruppellia apicalis Krober, 1929 (new name = subapicalis Lyneborg, 4,983) are synonymized with R. semiflava based on examination of thefemale type specimen of the former and the male type specimen of the latter species. Also, Thereva nuda Loew, 1856 is removed from synonymy with R. semiflava and placed as a new synonym to R. ihoracica. Cataclinoneurum alexandrinum (Becker, 1912) is confirmed as a synonym to R. thoracica after we obtained pictures of the types. Ruppellia semiflava is recorded in Oman, UAE and Yemen for the first time. Ruppellia is redefined based on the number of dorsocentral setae. Illustrations, key, specimens examined and distributions are given for each species, along with color images of type specimens.

查看更多>>摘要：Emeljanov (1962) established the leafhopper genus Macednus with the type species Macednus marginatus Emeljanov, 1962 from USSR (Maritime Territory). Later, Vilbaste (1967) placed Macednus Emeljanov, 1962 as a junior subjective synonym of AlbicostellaIshihara, 1953. Albicostella has Thamnotettix albicosta Matsumura,1914 as its type species. Oman, et al. (1990) followed Vilbaste (1967) in treating Macednus as a junior synonym of Albicostella and included the genus in the tribe Athysanini of subfamilyDeltocephalinae (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae). Later, Hamilton (1975) reinstated Macednus as a separate genus.
查看更多>>摘要：The types of a little known species Holarctias rufinularia (Staudinger, 1901) are illustrated for the first time and rede-scribed, and misidentifications of this species are corrected. Photos of the types of Acidalia rufularia Eversmann, 1851, and Acidalia rufociliaria Bremer, 1864, are published for the first time. Species composition, diagnosis and relationships of the genus Holarctias Prout, 1913 are discussed.
