    Taxonomy of Brazilian Psychoda Latreille, 1796 (Diptera, Psychodidae) with the description of thirteen new species

    查看更多>>摘要:Thirteen new species of Brazilian Psychoda Latreille are described. Psychoda buxoides Quate, Psychoda laticaula Quate, Psychoda litotes Quate and Psychoda talamanca Quate are redescribed and illustrated. Also, the female of Psychoda dan-tilandensis Bravo, Cordeiro & Chagas is described for the first time, and additional characters are presented for Psychoda alternata Say, Psychoda alternicula Quate, Psychoda amazonensis Cordeiro & Bravo, Psychoda dantilandensis, Psychoda divaricata Duckhouse, Psychoda serraorobonensis Bravo, Cordeiro & Chagas, Psychoda savaiiensis Edwards, and Psychoda zetoscota Quate. Two identification keys for the species that occur in Brazil are also presented, one for males, one for females.

    Mberu, a new neurigonine genus from southeastern Brazil (Diptera: Dolichopodidae)

    查看更多>>摘要:A new genus of Dolichopodidae with modified wing venation both in males and females is described from the Atlantic Forest in southeastern Brazil, Mberu pepocatu gen. nov. et sp. nov. The species is described and illustrated in detail, including the male and female terminalia. The systematic position of Mberu is considered and the genus is assigned to the tribe Coeloglutini of Neurigoninae, possibly closely related to Coeloglutus Aldrich and Neotonnoiria Robinson.

    查看更多>>摘要:Two new species, Melanotus kalamensis and M. usrae are described from Kalam, Swat Valley, Pakistan and compared with closely allied species. Male genitalia of both new species are illustrated and a key to all known species of the Genus Melanotus fromPakistan is provided. The total number of species in the genus Melanotus from Pakistan is 18.

    查看更多>>摘要:The genus Myrmecobrenthus Kleine, 1920 is revised and a key for the species of this genus is provided. Myrmecobrenthus susinii sp. nov. is described from Gabon, and compared with the closely related M. ater Damoiseau, 1961 and M. was-manni Kleine, 1920, from which it mainly differs in the shape of the male head and rostrum. Myrmecobrentus wasmanni is recorded for the first time from Gabon.

    查看更多>>摘要:The subgenus Okubasca Dworakowska of the genus Empoasca Walsh (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae: Empoascini) is recorded for the first time from China, and revised with two new species described and illustrated from southern China: E. (O.) dianella Qin & Zhang sp. nov., E. (O.) calvata Qin & Liu sp. nov. Habitus photos and illustrations of male genitalia of these new species are given. A key to males of all three species of the subgenus is also provided.

    查看更多>>摘要:The genus Disparia Nagano, 1916 contains 15 species from the Palaearctic which are best separated by male genitalia (see Schintlmeister, 2008). Disparia are distributed throughout Southeast Asia, especially China (Kobayashi, Kishida & Wang, 2003, 2005; Schintlmeister & Fang 2001; Schintlmeister 2007, 2008; Wu & Fang 2003). A. Floriani collected an unknown Disparia in April 2011 at light in Sichuan Province, China, and we describe it herein as new.
