查看更多>>摘要:Teucrium montanum is a species widely distributed in Europe, occurring also in North Africa and Asia Minor. Because of its wide distribution and high morphological variability, many taxa related to T. montanum have been described. In this paper we discuss and lectotypify the following six names of taxa described or reported for the Balkan Peninsula: T. helianthemoides, T. montanum var. hirsutum, T. montanum var. modestum, T. montanum var. parnassicum, T. pannonicum, and T. skorpilii.

The specimen was discovered in the rock crevices of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei province, China, and was identified as A. helenae Volot. based on both morphological and molecular data. This study updates our knowledge on the geographic distribution of the genus Anoplocaryum. Two taxonomic keys were provided to distinguish Anoplocaryum and Chinese related genera, also to index taxa in Anoplocaryum.

Expended range of Gomphonema firmum (Bacillariophyceae), once considered a Lake Baikal endemic, with notes on the identity of G. lanceolatum var. maximum

查看更多>>摘要:This note describes a new record of Gomphonema firmum Skvortzow, which expanded both morphological and distributional ranges of the species. This conspicuous diatom was previously unknown outside of Lake Baikal, where it inhabits deep-water areas. The newly discovered locality belongs to a small stream at a distance of 180 km west from Lake Baikal, where the species was found in a relatively high abundance that enabled to trace a size diminution series including specimens shorter than previously described. In addition, G. lanceolatum var. maximum Poretzky, a name for a diatom from Lake Teletskoe, was included in a synonymy of G. firmum that further expanded the species distribution. In the light of the presented data, the species appears to be a rare diatom with current distribution limited to a few scattered localities in southern Siberia.

Mallomonas voloshkoae sp. nov. (Synurales, Chrysophyceae) and distribution of M. pechlaneri in mountain lakes of Siberia

查看更多>>摘要:Mallomonas voloshkoae sp. nov. was described from Russia based on silica-scale morphology studied by means of transmission and scanning electron microscopy. This species belongs to the section Striatae and is characterised by scales with wide anterior flanges, forming wing-like extensions. This species is most similar in scale ultrastructure to M. pechlaneri. Mallomonas voloshkoae was reported in four mountain lakes of the Transbaikal area and was found in acidic to slightly acidic conditions with very low values of specific conductance. Mallomonas pechlaneri was reported in Russia for the first time. This is the first record of this species after the description of this taxon in Europe. Mallomonas pechlaneri was found in three oligotrophic habitats in the Altay and Sayan Mountain areas.

Identity of Carex trichodes Steud. ex Boott and Carex lateriflora Phil. (subgen. Psyllophorae, sect. Junciformes, Cyperaceae) from Southern South America

    Penneckamp, Diego N.

查看更多>>摘要:The identity of Carex trichodes, a species only known from the collection of the type material made in 1854 is clarified after finding it in the wild in the vicinity of the type locality. It is concluded that C. trichodes was proposed based on stressed plants corresponding to the same taxon later described as C. lateriflora.

Cymbopleura huohuaensis sp. nov. (Cymbellaceae; Bacillariophyceae), a new species from Sichuan Province, China

查看更多>>摘要:Cymbopleura huohuaensis sp. nov. is identified as a new species and described from stone surfaces in Huohua Lake, Sichuan Province, China. A detailed morphological description of the new species is presented, based on light and scanning electron microscopy. Cymbopleura huohuaensis sp. nov. has the features that assign it to the genus Cymbopleura, including the raphe with dorsally deflected terminal fissures and ventrally curved central raphe ends, punctate-lineate striae, and the absence of apical pore fields and stigmata. There are five features that easily distinguish the new species from the other similar taxa within the genus: 1) linear-lanceolate central area, 2) mostly slit-like, partly T-shaped, V-shaped or irregularly-shaped areolae, 3) strongly reverse-lateral raphe, 4) slightly truncate to obtusely rounded ends and 5) the highest density of areolae (30-50 in 10 mu m). Among the currently described species of Cymbopleura, the new species is in general most similar to C. subaequalis var. pertruncata in valve shape and possessing a reverse-lateral raphe, but is easily distinguished from that taxon by the size and shape of valve, shape of central area, and the degree of asymmetry about the apical axis and its notable lack of an intermissio. This species might be better placed in the C. austriaca group due to its lack of an intermissio. These findings increase our understanding the morphology and distribution of the genus Cymbopleura in China.

A new species of "rooster coomb", Euploca decorticans (Heliotropiaceae), from the highlands of the state of Goias, Brazil

查看更多>>摘要:Euploca decorticans, is here described and illustrated as a new species from a heretofore poorly collected mountain area in Goias state, Brazil. It is most morphologically similar to E. salicoides, one of the most widely distributed taxa of the genus in Brazil but differs from that species in several features related to habit (height and growth aspect), leaves (shape, trichome types, and venation pattern), flowers (size, corolla shape, length, color), inflorescence (length), fruits (diameter and trichome types) and nutlets (shapes), among other features. We include a distribution map besides photos and drawings of the new species, and we also discuss its conservation status.

查看更多>>摘要:Aubrieta necmi-aksoyi is described as a new Turkish species endemic to Bolu Province. Its relationships to the closely related A. alshehbazii and A. ekimii are discussed. A detailed genereic description and a key to all Turkish species of Aubrieta are presented.

Bulbophyllum section Rhytionanthos (Orchidaceae) in Vietnam with description of new taxa and new national record

查看更多>>摘要:The paper presents a taxonomic review of Bulbophyllum section Rhytionanthos for the flora of Vietnam and provides the key for its species' identification. A new species, B. truongtamii and a new variety, B. taeniophyllum var. denticulatoalatum are described for science. Bulbophyllum nodosum is reported for the first time from the country. Bulbophyllum strigosum, described 20 years ago based on cultivated plant of uncertain origin was rediscovered in NE Vietnam. For this species, location and detailed description are reported. Analytical photos, data on phenology, ecology, and distribution are presented for all studied species. The morphological comparison table of the new species, new variety and newly recorded species segregating them from similar species are presented.

The new variety is readily distinguished from G. ocellatum var. ocellatum by its central white spot at the petal base, dichasial inflorescence and peduncle length. A detailed description, photographs and conservation status are provided for the new variety. A key to the varieties of G. ocellatum is also provided.
