    Jiang, Ri-HongLin, Jian-YongZhu, Chang-SanLiu, Xiu...
    6页
查看更多>>摘要:Bhesa xieii, a new species of Centroplacaceae from southern China, is described and illustrated. Morphological comparison with Bhesa robusta, B. paniculata and B. ceylanica is provided. Both morphological and molecular evidences clearly indicate that B. xieii is a distinct species. It differs in capsules narrowly ovate, ca. 3 cm long, apex obtuse, peduncle thick, ca. 3 mm long; racemes; flowers pale yellow, pedicels 1.5-2.5 mm long; calyx lobes broadly ovate to subrotundate, apex obtuse; petals ovate to oblong-elliptic, apex obtuse, inflexed; lamina oblong-elliptic to narrowly ovate, base obtuse or subtruncate, apex acute or obtuse.

Umbilicaria platyrhiza-a new Mediterranean endemic species of the subgenus Papillophora (Umbilicariaceae, lichenized Ascomycota)

    Davydov, Evgeny A.
    6页
查看更多>>摘要:Umbilicaria platyrhiza Davydov sp. nov. is described within the Umbilicaria crustulosa - U. spodochroa species complex and illustrated. The new species resembles Umbilicaria crustulosa phenotypically, but is distinct by apothecia with a single gyrus of sterile tissue, grey-brown to black lower surface with flattened to strap-like rhizinomorphs, and by producing umbilicaric (vs. crustinic) acid. Umbilicaria platyrhiza inhabits silicate rocks at low elevations in the Mediterranean region of Eurasia (Prov. Izmir in Turkey and Burgas Region in Bulgaria).

Pluteus aesontiensis (Agaricales, Pluteaceae) a new species in sect. Celluloderma

    Dovana, FrancescoJusto, AlfredoFerisin, Giuliano
    9页
查看更多>>摘要:Pluteus aesotiensis sp. nov. is described based on several collections from northeast Italy. Phylogenetic analyses of the ITS region place this new species in sect. Celluloderma (/cinereofuscus clade). Morphologically P. aesotiensis is characterized by the combination of a brown, reddish brown to deep yellowish brown pileus, sometimes rugulose at center, globose to broadly ellipsoid spores, fusiform to broadly fusiform pleurocystidia, and clavate caulocystidia present only in the apical part of the stipe. The nrITS phylogenetic analysis supports this taxon as a new species. The description is illustrated with photographs of the basidiomes in habitat and photographs of the main microscopic features.

Ophioglossum isanense sp. nov. (Ophioglossaceae, Pteridophyta) from Thailand

    Petchsri, SahanatZhang, Li-BingJaruwattanaphan, Tassanai
    7页
查看更多>>摘要:A new species of Ophioglossum, O. isanense, from Northeast Thailand is described and illustrated. It may be diagnosed from other congeners by a combination of morphological characters including: its smaller size, cylindrical rhizome, stoloniferous roots, brownish green common stalk and trophophylls, the presence of persistent leaf sheath at the top of the rhizome and by the unique structure of spores. Molecular study also supported it as a distinct species. A summary of the ecology and an IUCN conservation status of the new species are provided.

Athyrium aberrans (Athyriaceae), a new species of the lady ferns from southeastern Xizang, China, based on morphological and molecular evidence

    Qiu, Yong-LingZhang, LinZhang, Li-BingZhou, Xin-Mao...
    8页
查看更多>>摘要:A new fern species, Athyrium aberrans (Athyriaceae), currently only known from southeastern Xizang, China is described. Morphologically, A. aberrans is superficially similar to A. falcatum in the habit and pinna shape, but the new species can easily be distinguished from the latter by having purplish petioles and rachises, a bulbil on the rachis below the lamina apex, and finely toothed pinna margins. A phylogenetic analysis based on five plastid markers demonstrates that A. aberrans is most closely related to but obviously distinct from A. epirachis.

Vaccinium carmesinum (Ericaceae), a new species of blueberry from Mt. Tago Range, Mindanao Island, Philippines

    Penneys, Darin S.Tandang, Danilo N.Fritsch, Peter W.Tamayo, Maverick N....
    8页
查看更多>>摘要:Vaccinium carmesinum is described as a new species of Ericaceae from Mt. Tago Range, Mindanao Island, Philippines. It is similar to V. platyphyllum Merrill and V. luzoniense S.Vidal but is distinct from the former by longer and wider leaves, longer racemes, longer bracts, glabrous corollas, and glabrescent fruits, and from the latter by longer petioles, leaf glands distributed along the blade margin, glabrous rachis, and lanate filaments. Vaccinium carmesinum bears the widest leaves among Philippine Vaccinium. Its discovery increases the number of Vaccinium species recognized in the Philippines to 37.

Agaricus brunneodiscus, a new species of Agaricus section Rarolentes from India

    Arya, C. P.Kumar, A. ManojPradeep, C. K.Parra, Luis A....
    13页
查看更多>>摘要:Agaricus brunneodiscus sp. nov. is described from Kerala State, India, based on morphological and molecular (nrITS) data. This species is characterized by medium-sized basidiomes with a white pileus, a brown centre disc breaking up into squamules, polymorphic cheilocystidia, and basidiospores that are considered large among the members of A. sect. Rarolentes. The macro- and micromorphological characters in conjunction with nrITS-based phylogenetic analysis using Maximum Likelihood (ML) method supported the placement of the new species in Agaricus sect. Rarolentes within Agaricus subg. Spissicaules. Descriptions, photographs and comparisons with phenetically similar species are provided.

Morphological variability of Alveolophora jouseana (Bacillariophyta) from type material

    Usoltseva, Marina V.
    11页
查看更多>>摘要:A morphological variability study was carried out on the type material of Alveolophora jouseana using light and scanning electron microscopy. The new observations allowed us to extend diagnostic descriptions for the ultrastructure of this taxon, as well as its biometrics regarding diameter, number of areolar rows in 10 mu m, and number of costae in 10 mu m. Alveolophora jouseana shows a close similarity to A. baicalensis, another species of the same genus with which it co-occurs.

Allium elaounii: a new species of A. sect. Pseudoscorodon (Amaryllidaceae, Allioideae, Allieae) from Kroumirian mountains, Tunisia

    El Mokni, Ridha
    11页
查看更多>>摘要:A new species of Allium, A. elaounii sp. nov. seemingly endemic to Kroumirian mountains (Northwestern of Tunisia) is described and illustrated. The new species is morphologically similar to A. rouyi group and A. valdecallosum, from which it differs mainly by characters of stem, bulb, leaves, inflorescence, and seeds. Distribution in Tunisia, notes of its preferred habitat, phenology, and the IUCN status of conservation are also provided. A diagnostic key to species of the A. sect. Pseudoscorodon occurring in North Africa is also presented.

Pavetta trichardtensis (Rubiaceae) and its varieties

    Hahn, Norbert

查看更多>>摘要:This article attempts to resolve the long-standing confusion surrounding the identities of Pavetta hirtiflora and Pavetta zoutpansbergensis, both treated as synonyms of Pavetta trichardtensis. It is proposed that the P. trichardtensis complex be split into two varieties. Extensive field work and investigation of herbarium specimens supported these two varieties as distinct and occurring on the Blouberg, Soutpansberg and Wolkberg ranges. The typical pubescent variety occurs on the Soutpansberg through to the Wolkberg and the glabrous variety occurs on the Soutpansberg, Blouberg and possibly Houtbosch (Woodbush).
