查看更多>>摘要:This paper presents some novelties from the genus Polygonum (Polygonaceae) in Turkey. The study includes along with the description of a new species P. urnigera together with three new records from Istanbul; P. buxiforme, P. neglectum, and P. rurivagum. The distribution records of all these species have been included along with photographs and illustrations of the new species. The paper presents a new key for Polygonum s.str. (sect. Polygonum) species in Turkey.

查看更多>>摘要:Cosmianthemum melinhensis, a new species of Acanthaceae is described and illustrated from northern Vietnam. It is morphologically allied to C. guangxiense, C. knoxiifolium, and C. viriduliflorum but differs in the habit, shape and trichomes of the leaves, stem, bracts, bracteole, corolla and fruits. This species is assessed as "Vulnerable" (VU) according to IUCN Red List and Criteria.

查看更多>>摘要:Syzygium namborense is described and illustrated as a new species from the Nambor Reserve Forest, Assam, India. It resem-bles Syzygium nervosum in having glabrous, chartaceous and aromatic leaves, paniculate inflorescences with second order branching, calyptrate flowers, numerous stamens and equal number of petals in the calyptra but differs from it in having more compressed branchlets with shorter nodes and greater number of leaves, shorter acumen, strictly elliptic leaves with acuminate apex and cuneate base, greater number of lateral veins, intramarginal vein uniform along the blade, sessile yel-lowish white flowers with obconical hypanthium and a higher number of ovules per locule.

查看更多>>摘要:Volvariella clavocystidiata sp. nov., collected from Western Siberia, is described based on morphological characters and molecular data. The new species is characterized by silky fibrillose whitish pileus, clavate cheilo- and pleurocystidia, and basidiospores on average 6.6 x 4.8 mu m and swamp habitat. Detailed morphological descriptions, drawings of microstructures and comparisons with closely related taxa are provided. Phylogenetic analyses inferred from the internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) and 28S nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nrLSU) showed that novel taxon formed independent phylogenetic lineage within the genus Volvariella.

查看更多>>摘要:Phyllanthus (Phyllanthaceae) is widely distributed within Brazilian phytogeographic domains where 101 species occur, including a number of poorly-known taxa, such as P. allemii, which was until now only known from the type collection. Here we report the rediscovery of P. allemii, which was recently collected during a floristic inventory carried out in the Estacao Ecologica Serra Geral do Tocantins, which is located on the border between Bahia and Tocantins states in the Cerrado domain. We provide an updated and detailed morphological description of the species, including plates and field images, as well as a taxonomic key for species of Phyllanthus sect. Phyllanthus subsect. Clausseniani that occur in the Cerrado. We also provide habitat, ecology and distribution data, and, finally, a conservation assessment of this rare species.

Lectotypification of the name Kalanchoe wildii (Crassulaceae subfam. Kalanchooideae)

查看更多>>摘要:The name Kalanchoe wildii (Crassulaceae subfam. Kalanchooideae) is applied to a species from Zimbabwe in south-tropical Africa. Kalanchoe wildii remains little-known and to fix application of the name, we here lectotypify it on a specimen held in Zimbabwe at Herb. SRGH, given that the holotype is no longer extant.

Two new species of Begonia (section Petermannia, Begoniaceae) from the Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines, and a redescription of Begonia parvilimba

查看更多>>摘要:Two new species of Begonia section Petermannia from Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines are described and illustrated: Begonia amamampang and Begonia turugsoy. Begonia parvilimba was also rediscovered and an updated description is provided. All morphological characters and measurements were observed in the wild from living plants. This brings the record to a total of 16 Begonia species under this section found in the region of Zamboanga Peninsula making Zamboanga a center of diversity of section Petermannia in the Philippines. Notes on their ecology, distribution map and proposed conservation assessment are provided.

查看更多>>摘要:During a survey of keratinolytic fungi in China, a new species, Arthrographis multiformispora was isolated from soil samples. Morphologically, A. multiformispora differs from other species in the genus by the presence of globose or subglobose chlamydospores and cylindrical arthroconidia. Phylogenetically, our four strains were clustered together with high support values and separated from other clades. We provided a description, illustrations, and phylogenetic tree for the new species.

Assessment of SCoT and ISSR molecular markers in genetic diversity of rigid ryegrass (Lolium rigidum Gaud.) in Iran

查看更多>>摘要:Lolium rigidum (Poaceae) is important forage and weed species grown in different habitats of Iran. Rigid ryegrass originated from the Mediterranean region. They are very resistant to common herbicides. To investigate the genetic variability of L. rigidum, we studied 81 individuals of 18 natural populations from Iran; four ISSR and four SCoT primers were used. These are reproducible and highly polymorphic markers. We examined their gene flow and genetic variation. Genetic diversity among and within populations was determined through different methods. The Mantel test indicated a significant correlation between these populations' genetic distance and geographical distance and a high correlation between ISSR and SCoT markers. Analyses of molecular variance (AMOVA) produced high genetic differences among the studied populations for both markers. Structure analysis showed population genetic stratification and identified three genetic groups through ISSR molecular markers for L. rigidum in Iran and indicated restricted gene flow. The current investigation revealed the productivity of ISSR and SCoT molecular markers in evaluating genetic variation and grouping of wild populations of L. rigidum and provides detailed data concerning the genetic structure of its populations. The present finding provided useful information for further conservation, selection, and breeding plans.
