Studies have shown that Response Surface Methodology model is more suitable than classical linear regression model, especially regression coefficients are more significantly. And the analysis of the linear effects , secondary effects and interactions effects can be more effective ,so as to achieve a good effect of cutting force prediction, to provide a reliable basis for a reasonable choice of processing parameters.
查看更多>>摘要:An improved algorithm, dynamic collision detection with optimum discrete interval is presented to improve the efficiency of dynamic collision detection. The algorithm based on the minimum distance between two objects with relative movement to determine the next discrete position, on which collision or interference is free. The method using the minimum distance as discrete interval to determine the next interference-free position makes each interval longest under the constraint of safety so that the reliability between the moving object-pair is ensured while the efficiency is improved. The practical demonstration has proved that the improved algorithm is capable of high performance than that of the collision detection method with even discrete interval. This algorithm has been successfully used in a verification system of inspection process by secondary development of Pro/Engineer.
查看更多>>摘要:Based on the experiments on milling the carbon structural 45 steel with the flat rake milling insert and the waved-edge milling insert, the analysis and study on single physics field and coupling field are studied. On the basis of the milling force and milling temperature mathematical models, the force density function and heat density function of the waved-edge milling insert are built, the stress fields analysis and temperature fields analysis have been done. In order to discuss the distribution principle of equivalent stress and distortion under coupling condition, the coupling analysis on the stress field and temperature field is done. All these studies provide the theoretic and experimental basis for solving the cutter disrepair and groove optimization technology.
查看更多>>摘要:In the present study, two-dimensional orthogonal slot milling experiments in conjunction with an analytical-based computer code are used to determine flow stress data as a function of the high strains, strain rates and temperatures encountered in metal cutting. By using this method, the flow stress of A17050-T7451 is modeled. Through the comparison of cutting forces between FEM and experiment, the FEM model using predicted flow stress can give precise cutting forces. The work of this paper provides a useful method for material constitutive equation modeling without doing large number of cutting experiment or expensive SHPB tests.
查看更多>>摘要:In this paper, based on the octree partition, bounding boxes and triangulated surface model, we developed a new virtual material removal method for machining of 3D complex surfaces. In this method a new tri-prism space partition algorithm based on octree and triangulated surface model is applied to partition the 3D complex surfaces. Traditional triangular-faced algorithm is used in 3-axis machining simulation, which is computationally expensive and memory demanding. In contrast, this paper presents a virtual material removal model using the dynamic tri-prism space decomposition algorithm (i) to represent 3D complex objects, (ii) to reduce the computation complexity, and (iii) to accelerate the model updating procedures in a graphic simulation process. Based on mathematical model of virtual material removal, the 3D model of virtual CNC machining process was developed.

To support effectively data management in both different product lifecycle phases and across different systems through web PDM system, ontology based product information model was developed. The model includes concept part for common manage and domain part for specific industries. Concepts and relations were built and introduced. Using ontology improved the machine interoperability. The developed model is validated by the application to the practical web PDM system of enterprise project.
查看更多>>摘要:Web-based Code Management System (WCMS) is an essential tool for realizing information exchange in distant collaborative product design and manufacturing among global-based enterprises. A framework for WCMS is built up on a three-tier client/server system and the WCMS is developed utilizing JAVA and J2EE technologies. The developed WCMS mainly uses servlets and JSP to handle user inputs and manage and retrieve code data from the database through the JDBC driver, with the server components stored on a middleware program called Tomcat. The WCMS developed in this work has been successfully implemented in an enterprise.
查看更多>>摘要:The present work studies the development of a 40Fe-60VC (vol-%) cermet by powder metallurgy techniques. The base powder was obtained by mechanical high energy milling to reduce both particle and reinforcement size in order to improve powder microstructure. The modified powder was compacted by uniaxial and cold isostatic pressing. The compacts were sintered in vacuum at different temperatures and times, and characterised by several techniques, including the determination of density and hardness, study by XRD to determine the constituents after sintering, and a complete microstructural analysis by SEM and TEM. The present study reveals that a Fe-VC cermet with favorable microstructure and performance can be obtained by in-situ reaction synthesis.
查看更多>>摘要:In order to implement collaborative work in enterprises, it is important to exchange and share data during product design process. According to the characteristics and types of simulation data for mechanical properties analysis, an effective data management method is presented. Based on the functional framework of collaborative simulation environment, a new database system has been designed by combining relational database and content repository. The content repository for simulation data has been established and designed by user-defined node type whose model is a simple hierarchy. In this repository, simulation metadata have been stored as node properties. Furthermore, simulation data files can be stored in node which facilitates the upload and download of files. In the mean while, simulation flow data can be stored in relational database. An engineering application is employed to demonstrate the feasibility and practicability of the data management system.
查看更多>>摘要:While whisker toughening ceramic cutting tool composites have excellent mechanical properties at either room or high temperature, the development of them is often limited by some difficulties in the fabrication and application. Here a TiC whisker toughening Al_2O_3 ceramic cutting tool composite is developed by in situ synthesis technology. Experimental results show the flexure strength, fracture toughness and Vickers hardness of the composite can achieve to 855.7MPa, 7.63 MPa· m~(1/2) and 19.5GPa, respectively. Being different to that of conventional whisker toughening ceramic composites, the toughness of the composite is dominated by the chemical interface bonding between TiC and Al_2O_3, which increases with increasing sintering temperature, and the sliding resistance is suggested to be due to the physical absorption and mechanical meshing between the two debonded surfaces.
