News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: "Online platforms need a way to provide a safe and civil en vironment in communications between user devices. Text communications are easier to moderate than audio communications because users are more tolerant of delays in transmitting text messages. In addition, moderating text communications is e asier than audio streams because text can be compared to a list of prohibited or problematic words. Conversely, moderation of audio streams is more difficult to analyze because of the variation in accents, tone, volume, the use of sarcasm, etc. "The background description provided herein is for the purpose of presenting the context of the disclosure. Work of the presently named inventors, to the extent it is described in this background section, as well as aspects of the descripti on that may not otherwise qualify as prior art at the time of filing, are neithe r expressly nor impliedly admitted as prior art against the present disclosure."

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-According to news reporting based on a preprint abstract, our journalists obtained the following quote sourced from bi orxiv.org: "Complex diseases pose challenges in disease prediction due to their multifactor ial and polygenic nature. "In this work, we explored the prediction of two complex diseases, multiple scle rosis (MS) and Alzheimer\'s disease (AD), using machin e learning (ML) methods and genomic data from UK Biobank. Different ML methods w ere applied, including logistic regressions (LR), gradient boosting decision tre es (GB), extremely randomized trees (ET), random forest (RF), feedforward networ ks (FFN), and convolutional neural networks (CNN). The primary goal of this rese arch was to investigate the variability of ML models in classifying complex dise ases based on genomic risk. LR was the most robust method across folds and disea ses, whereas deep learning methods (FFN and CNN) exhibited high variability. Whe n comparing the performance of polygenic risk scores (PRS) with ML methods, PRS consistently performed at an average level.

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-According to news reporting based on a preprint abstract, our journalists obtained the following quote sourced from bi orxiv.org: "We present ArtiDock - the deep learning technique for predicting ligand poses i n the protein binding pockets (aka \"AI docking\ "), which is based on augmenting inherently limited training data with algorithm ically generated artificial binding pockets and the ensembles of representative conformations of the ligand-protein complexes obtained from MD simulations. Perf ormance of ArtiDock is compared systematically with other AI docking techniques and conventional docking programs on the PoseBusters dataset, which is dedicated for benchmarking the AI pose prediction algorithms. ArtiDock outperforms the be st AI docking techniques and the major conventional docking programs, being at l east an order of magnitude faster while providing superior accuracy in terms of RMSD and additional ligand pose correctness metrics. "The influence of data augmentation on the model performance is evaluated and th e perspectives of further development are discussed."
