According to news originating from Fuzhou, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "Previous studies have largely neglected the role of ADCC in LUAD, and no study has systematicall y compiled ADCC-associated genes to create prognostic signatures. In this study, 1564 LUAD patients, 2057 NSCLC patients, and more than 5000 patients with vario us cancer types from diverse cohorts were included." Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Fujian Medical Univ ersity, "R package ConsensusClusterPlus was utilized to classify patients into d ifferent subtypes. A number of machinelearning algorithms were used to construc t the ADCCRS. GSVA and ClusterProfiler were used for enrichment analyses, and IO BR was used to quantify immune cell infiltration level. GISTIC2.0 and maftools w ere used to analyze the CNV and SNV data. The Oncopredict package was used to pr edict drug information based on the GDSC1. Three immunotherapy cohorts were used to evaluate patient response to immunotherapy. The Seurat package was used to p rocess single-cell data, the AUCell package was used to calculate cells' geneset activity scores, and the Scissor algorithm was used to identify ADCCRS-associat ed cells. Through unsupervised clustering, two distinct subtypes of LUAD were id entified, each exhibiting distinct clinical characteristics. The ADCCRS, consist ed of 16 genes, was constructed by integrated machine-learning methods. The prog nostic power of ADCCRS was validated in 28 independent datasets. Further, ADCCRS shows better predictive abilities than 102 previously published signatures in p redicting LUAD patients' survival. A nomogram incorporating ADCCRS and clinical features was constructed, demonstrating high predictive performance. ADCCRS posi tively correlates with patients' gene mutation, and integrated analysis of bulk and single-cell transcriptome data revealed the association of ADCCRS with TME m odulators. Cells representing high-ADCCRS phenotype exhibited more malignant fea tures. LUAD patients with high ADCCRS levels exhibited sensitivity to chemothera py and targeted therapy, while displaying resistance to immunotherapy. In pan-ca ncer analysis, ADCCRS still exhibited significant prognostic value and was found to be a risk factor for most cancer patients."

According to news reporting from Anhui, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, "Effectively modeling carbon prices whil e maintaining interpretability is essential, given the potential risks associate d with unexpected price fluctuations. To this end, this study proposes an explai nable machine learning (XML) framework to predict and explain carbon prices in C hina's three representative carbon markets: Shenzhen, Hubei, and Beijing." The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from the Hefei Univer sity of Technology, "Leveraging the strengths of tree -based machine learning mo dels and Tree SHAP algorithms, we unveil global and local explanations in the dr iving patterns of carbon prices. Our findings indicate that the distribution of local explanatory effects exhibits asymmetric and long-tailed characteristics. N otably, the top global drivers in Shenzhen, Hubei, and Beijing are the photovolt aic price index, coal prices, and the industrial added value of electricity sect ors, respectively. Furthermore, we uncover the nonlinear impacts of key drivers on individual carbon price predictions, and identify three key interaction patte rns through the calculation of SHAP interaction values. Lastly, we evaluate the explainable performance of various XML benchmarks to validate the superiority of our XML framework, as well as demonstrate its economic significance via a switc hing trading strategy."

According to news reporting out of Berlin, Germany, by NewsR x editors, research stated, "It is unclear to what extent quantum algorithms can outperform classical algorithms for problems of combinatorial optimization." Our news reporters obtained a quote from the research from Technical University Berlin (TU Berlin): "In this work, by resorting to computational learning theory and cryptographic notions, we give a fully constructive proof that quantum comp uters feature a super-polynomial advantage over classical computers in approxima ting combinatorial optimization problems. Specifically, by building on seminal w ork by Kearns and Valiant, we provide special instances that are hard for classi cal computers to approximate up to polynomial factors. Simultaneously, we give a quantum algorithm that can efficiently approximate the optimal solution within a polynomial factor. The quantum advantage in this work is ultimately borrowed f rom Shor's quantum algorithm for factoring."

According to news reporting from Baghdad, Iraq, by NewsRx journ alists, research stated, "Bipedal robotic mechanisms are unstable due to the uni lateral contact passive joint between the sole and the ground. Hierarchical cont rol layers are crucial for creating walking patterns, stabilizing locomotion, an d ensuring correct angular trajectories for bipedal joints due to the system's v arious degrees of freedom." The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from University of Ba ghdad: "This work provides a hierarchical control scheme for a bipedal robot tha t focuses on balance (stabilization) and low-level tracking control while consid ering flexible joints. The stabilization control method uses the Newton-Euler fo rmulation to establish a mathematical relationship between the zero-moment point (ZMP) and the center of mass (COM), resulting in highly nonlinear and coupled d ynamic equations. Adaptive approximation-based feedback linearization control (s o-called adaptive computed torque control) combined with an anti-windup compensa tor is designed to track the desired COM produced by the highlevel command. Alo ng the length of the support sole, the ZMP with physical restrictions serves as the control input signal. The viability of the suggested controller is establish ed using Lyapunov's theory. The low-level control tracks the intended joint move ments for a bipedal mechanism with flexible joints."

According to news originating from Kuala Lumpur, M alaysia, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "Artificial Intelligence (AI ) techniques are increasingly used in computer-aided diagnostic tools in medicin e. These techniques can also help to identify Hypertension (HTN) in its early st age, as it is a global health issue." Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from the University of M alaya, "Automated HTN detection uses socio-demographic, clinical data, and physi ological signals. Additionally, signs of secondary HTN can also be identified us ing various imaging modalities. This systematic review examines related work on automated HTN detection. We identify datasets, techniques, and classifiers used to develop AI models from clinical data, physiological signals, and fused data ( a combination of both). Image-based models for assessing secondary HTN are also reviewed. The majority of the studies have primarily utilized single-modality ap proaches, such as biological signals (e.g., electrocardiography, photoplethysmog raphy), and medical imaging (e.g., magnetic resonance angiography, ultrasound). Surprisingly, only a small portion of the studies (22 out of 122) utilized a mul ti-modal fusion approach combining data from different sources. Even fewer inves tigated integrating clinical data, physiological signals, and medical imaging to understand the intricate relationships between these factors."
