Report Summarizes Robotics Study Findings from University of Castilla-La Mancha (A New Smith Predictor Motor Control System to Reduce Disturbance Effects Caused by Unknown Terrain Slopes in Mobile Robots)

    47-48页
查看更多>>摘要:Research findings on robotics are discussed in a new report. According to news reporting out of Ciudad Real, Spain, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “Accurate trajectory tracking is a paramount objective when a mobile robot must perform complicated tasks.” Our news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from University of Castilla-La Mancha: “In high-speed movements, hardware-induced delays may produce overshoots and even instability when controlling the system. In this case, Smith predictor controllers can be used because they are well suited for delayed processes. This paper addresses the accurate positioning of a mobile robot on a terrain of an unknown slope. This slope produces disturbance torques of unknown amplitudes in the robot actuators that yield a steady-state error in the positioning. Because our actuators are integrating plus time delay plants, the standard Smith predictor cannot remove these disturbances. This paper proposes a modification of this control scheme in order to remove these disturbances yielding a zero steady-state error in the actuators.”

Imperial College London Reports Findings in Machine Learning (Time-resolved chemical monitoring of whole plant roots with printed electrochemical sensors and machine learning)

According to news reporting originating from London, United Kingdom, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Traditional single-point measurements fail to capture dynamic chemical responses of plants, which are complex, nonequilibrium biological systems. We report TETRIS (ime-resolved lectrochemical echnology for plant oot environment n itu chemical sensing), a real-time chemical phenotyping system for continuously monitoring chemical signals in the often-neglected plant root environment.”

Researchers at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University Publish New Study Findings on Machine Learning (Application of UAV-Borne Visible- Infared Pushbroom Imaging Hyperspectral for Rice Yield Estimation Using Feature Selection Regression Methods)

    49-49页
查看更多>>摘要:Investigators publish new report on artificial intelligence. According to news originating from Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx editors, the research stated, “Rice yield estimation is vital for enhancing food security, optimizing agricultural management, and promoting sustainable development. However, traditional satellite/aerial and ground-based/tower-based platforms face limitations in rice yield estimation, and few studies have explored the potential of UAV-borne hyperspectral remote sensing for this purpose.”

Recent Findings in Machine Learning Described by a Researcher from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (Machine learning, Water Quality Index, and GIS-based analysis of groundwater quality)

    50-50页
查看更多>>摘要:Investigators publish new report on artificial intelligence. According to news originating from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Water is essential for life, as it supports bodily functions, nourishes crops, and maintains ecosystems.” Our news reporters obtained a quote from the research from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology: “Drinking water is crucial for maintaining good health and can also contribute to economic development by reducing healthcare costs and improving productivity. In this study, we employed five different machine learning algorithms - logistic regression (LR), decision tree classifier (DTC), extreme gradient boosting (XGB), random forest (RF), and K-nearest neighbors (KNN) - to analyze the dataset, and their prediction performance were evaluated using four metrics: accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. Physiochemical parameters of 30 groundwater samples were analyzed to determine the Water Quality Index (WQI) of Pano Akil City, Pakistan. The samples were categorized into the following four classes based on their WQI values: excellent water, good water, poor water, and unfit for drinking. The WQI scores showed that only 43.33% of the samples were deemed acceptable for drinking, indicating that the majority (56.67%) were unsuitable. The findings suggest that the DTC and XGB algorithms outperform all other algorithms, achieving overall accuracies of 100% each.”
