According to news originating from Tamil Nadu, India, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “In the current investigation, a two-stage hybridization model has been used for the motion planning of humanoids in complex environmental conditions using regression analysis and the firefly algorithm. In the first step, sensory outputs are fed to the regression model, and an initial turning angle (ITA) is obtained.” Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from the School of Mechanical Engineering, “In the second step, the ITA is again fed as input to the firefly model along with other required inputs, and the final turning angle (FTA) is obtained. The FTA serves as the guiding parameter for the humanoids to reach their desired destinations. The developed motion planning scheme has been implemented on NAO humanoid robots in simulation and experimental platforms. A Petri-Net control strategy has been integrated along with the hybrid scheme while negotiating multiple humanoids in a common platform. The results obtained from the motion planning analysis in simulation and experimental arenas are compared against each other in terms of selected navigational parameters and observed satisfactory agreements.”

According to news originating from Sichuan, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “The emergence of cryptocurrencies has revolutionized the concept of digital currencies and attracted significant attention from financial markets.” The news reporters obtained a quote from the research from Southwestern University: “Predicting the price dynamics of cryptocurrencies is crucial but challenging due to their highly volatile and non- linear nature. This study compares the performance of various models in predicting cryptocurrency prices using three datasets: Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), and Ethereum (ETH). The models analyzed include Moving Average (MA), Logistic Regression (LR), Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Convolutional Neural Network-Long Short-Term Memory (CNN- LSTM). The objective is to uncover underlying patterns in cryptocurrency price movements and identify the most accurate and reliable approach for predicting future prices. Through the analysis, it could be observed that MA, LR, and ARIMA models struggle to capture the actual trend accurately. In contrast, LSTM and CNN-LSTM models demonstrate strong fit to the actual price trend, with CNN-LSTM exhibiting a higher level of granularity in its predictions.”

查看更多>>摘要:2024 FEB 20 (NewsRx) – By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – New research on Artificial Intelligence is the subject of a report. According to news originating from London, United Kingdom, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Artificial Intel- ligence is being applied in oncology to improve patient and service outcomes. Yet, there is a limited understanding of how these advanced computational techniques are employed in cancer nursing to inform clinical practice.” Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from King’s College London, “This review aimed to identify and synthesise evidence on artificial intelligence in cancer nursing. CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, and PubMed were searched using key terms between January 2010 and December 2022. Titles, abstracts, and then full texts were screened against eligibility criteria, resulting in twenty studies being included. Critical appraisal was undertaken, and relevant data extracted and analysed. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were followed. Artificial intelligence was used in numerous areas including breast, colorectal, liver, and ovarian cancer care among others. Algorithms were trained and tested on primary and secondary datasets to build predictive models of health problems related to cancer. Studies reported this led to improvements in the accuracy of predicting health outcomes or identifying variables that improved outcome prediction. While nurses led most studies, few deployed an artificial intelligence based digital tool with cancer nurses in a real-world setting as studies largely focused on developing and validating predictive models. Electronic cancer nursing datasets should be established to enable artificial intelligence techniques to be tested and if effective implemented in digital prediction and other AI-based tools.”
查看更多>>摘要:2024 FEB 20 (NewsRx) – By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – Researchers detail new data in artificial intelligence. According to news originating from Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod by NewsRx editors, the research stated, “In this paper we consider global optimization problems and methods for solving them.” Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod: “The numerical solution of this class of problems is computationally challenging. The most complex problems are multicriteria problems in which the objective functions are multiextremal and non- differentiable, and, moreover, given in the form of a ‘black box’, i.e. calculating the objective function at a point is a time-consuming operation. Particularly, we consider an approach to acceleration of the global search using machine learning methods. At the same time, the problem of tuning the hyperparameters of the machine learning methods themselves is very important. The quality of machine learning methods is substantially affected by their hyperparameters, while the evaluation of the quality metrics is a time- consuming operation. We also consider an approach to hyperparameter tuning based on the Lipschitz global optimization.”
