Study Findings on Artificial Intelligence Published by Researchers at Port Said University (Estimating the energy consumption for residential buildings in semia rid and arid desert climate using artificial intelligence)

    139-139页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – New research on artificial intelligenc e is the subject of a new report. According to news reporting from Port Said Uni versity by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “This research aims to develop p redictive models to estimate building energy accurately.” Financial supporters for this research include Future University in Egypt. Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Port Said Universit y: “Three commonly used artificial intelligence techniques were chosen to develo p a new building energy estimation model. The chosen techniques are Genetic Prog ramming (GP), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Evolutionary Polynomial Regre ssion (EPR). Sixteen energy efficiency measures were collected and used in desig ning and evaluating the proposed models, which include building dimensions, orie ntation, envelope construction materials properties, window-to-wall ratio, heati ng and cooling set points, and glass properties. The performance of the develope d models was evaluated in terms of the RMS, R2, and MAPE. The results showed tha t the EPR model is the most accurate and practical model with an error percent o f 2%.”

Researchers from Nanyang Technological University Describe Findings in Robotics (3d-printed Mechano-optic Force Sensor for Soft Robotic Gripper Enabled By Progr ammable Structural Metamaterials)

According to news reporting originating from Singapore, Singapo re, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Rapid deployment of automation i n today’s world has opened up exciting possibilities in the realm of design and fabrication of soft robotic grippers endowed with sensing capabilities. Herein, a novel design and rapid fabrication by 3D printing of a mechano-optic force sen sor with a large dynamic range, sensitivity, and linear response, enabled by met amaterials-based structures, is presented.”

Study Findings from European Commission Provide New Insights into Robotics (Robo t Adoption and Product Innovation)

    141-142页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – Investigators discuss new findings in Robotics. According to news reporting originating from Seville, Spain, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “We investigate the unexplored relationship be tween robot technology adoption and product innovation. We exploit Spanish firm- level data on robot adoption and use a staggered timing difference-in-difference s, supported by an instrumental variable approach.” Our news editors obtained a quote from the research from European Commission, “I nstead of an enabling effect, we find a negative association between robot adopt ion and the probability to introduce product innovations, as well as their numbe r. The result is particularly significant for larger, established, and non-high- tech firms. In line with industry evolution models, we rationalise and interpret the findings suggesting that a key mechanism at work in the robotisation-innova tion nexus are diseconomies of scope fuelled by capacity-increasing investments. We also discuss whether industrial robots in our data feature enabling capabili ties at all.”
