By integrating visual perception sensors and AIS receivers on smart buoys, the research successfully collects and processes multisource data, leading to enhanced traffic flow forecasting, traffic management, emergency response, and vessel-to-shore coordination. The advanced object detection model, applied to images captured by the buoy sensors, improves vessel identification accuracy. Simultaneously, AIS data integration provides comprehensive situational awareness. The case study in the Wuhu water area shows the method's practical applications, emphasizing its potential in optimizing traffic flow prediction, vessel scheduling, and emergency management.

The proposed system is compact and lightweight, allowing single-handed operation. The insights obtained can be summarized as follows:1. When the direction of the resultant velocity during diving aligns with diver' s azimuth, the proposed device enables the desired navigation. The next step includes the use of more accurate accelerometers and a development of the ability to convert the coordinates to T-frames without using the resultant velocity.
