    Blind-restoration-based blind separation method for permuted motion blurred images

    查看更多>>摘要:A novel single-channel blind separation algorithm for permuted motion blurred images is proposed by using blind restoration in this paper.Both the motion direction and the length of the point spread function (PSF) are estimated by Radon transformation and extrema a detection.Using the estimated blur parameters, the permuted image is restored by performing the L-R blind restoration method.The permutation mixing matrices can be accurately estimated by classifying the ringing effect in the restored image, thereby the source images can be separated.Simulation results show a better separation efficiency for the permuted motion blurred image with various permutation operations.The proposed algorithm indicates a better performance on the robustness against Gaussian noise and lossy JPEG compression.

    查看更多>>摘要:Recently, the multi-hop cellular networks have been widely studied in order to enhance the cell performances such as the cell capacity.While most of these works merely use the multi-hop methods instead of direct transmission without considering the co-channel inter-cell interference, signal transmission mode and the effects of the number of antennas.With the consideration of above important elements, this paper proposed an improved cellular system with multi-relay amplifies-andforward (AF) cooperative transmission scheme and the corresponding capacity expression is derived under the corresponding environment.By using the potential space diversity and selecting relays based on maximizing the capacity, the cellular system capacity can be improved effectively.The simulation results show that with the assistance of optimal selected relays, the improved cooperative cellular system capacity with multi-relay AF transmission scheme performs better than single-hop cellular system.

    查看更多>>摘要:In order to design birefringent holey fiber with beat-length independent of wavelength, an asymmetric structure is introduced to reduce its wavelength-sensitivity.The influence of structural parameters on the modal birefringence is calculated and analyzed.After optimizing the parameters, a flat dispersion curve of beat-length is obtained.The beat-length changes from 89.8 mm to 91.0 mm in wavelength range from 1.1 μm, to 1.7 μm, and its relative variation is 1.38%.If this fiber is made into zero-order quarter wave plate, the phase delay can be easily controlled in (90±1)°.

    查看更多>>摘要:Radar cross section (RCS) of non-spherical raindrops is calculated by using the software CST based on finite integral method and compared with RCS of spherical raindrops.The Accepted factor of non-spherical raindrops is obtained.The radar reflectivity with precipitation change of four distribution models of M-P, Gamma, JD and JT combining the Accepted factor is gotten using trapezoidal integration.When the influence of non-spherical raindrops is considered, the accuracy of precipitation measurement of four distribution models can be separately improved 8.77%, 8.47%, 10.53% and 8.04% in the case of rain intensity is 100 mm/h.

    查看更多>>摘要:A novel architecture of wavelength-division multiplexing/optical code division multiplexing access-passive optical network (WDM/OCDMA-PON) based on superstructure fiber Bragg grating (SSFBG) and wavelength re-modulation technology is proposed.In this scheme, WDM is overlaid on OCDMA channel in a single network by virtue of a kind of SSFBG, and the total capacity of hybrid PON can be extended by regulating the transmission power reasonably.Re-modulation technology is also a good method to save wavelength-specific components at the optical network unit (ONU) and cost of wavelength management on the customer side.In simulation system, 1.25 Gb/s up/downstream data are transported with good performance.In addition the crosstalk penalties from adjacent wavelength channels (with the same OC) are found to be negligible in upstream and downstream transmissions.

    Temperature sensor based on a single-mode tapered optical fiber

    查看更多>>摘要:A temperature sensor is demonstrated and fabricated by coating the single-mode tapered optical fiber with temperature-sensitive silicone rubber.It works on the change of the evanescent fields in the tapered optical fiber.Small changes in the refractive index of coating film greatly influence the power of evanescent fields, which modulate the transmission optical power in the waist region.The range of temperature measured is from -20 ℃ to 70 ℃.The results show that the temperature sensor has high temperature sensitivity (0.012 mW/℃) and good repeatability.

    查看更多>>摘要:Cognitive radio (CR) is a promising technology deemed to improve the efficiency of spectrum utilization.This paper considers a spectrum underlay cognitive radio network, in which the cognitive users (CUs) are allowed to use the radio spectrum concurrently with the primary users (PUs) under the interference temperature constraint.We investigate the system performance by using the proposed joint channel and power allocation scheme under two transmit strategies to achieve higher data rates and performance diversity gain respectively.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides a significant improvement on the bit error rate (BER) performance and spectrum efficiency of a cognitive wireless network.

    查看更多>>摘要:Combining the modified Bethe small holes coupling theory with McDonald thickness theory and field averaging correction factor, it is accurate to design the weak coupling waveguide directional coupler.While the coupling is tight, the decrease of the field strength in the main waveguide caused by aperture should not be neglected.For a -6 dB directional coupler is described in this article, the theoretical value of coupling is good agree to the simulation value, by simulated and optimized with the professional software computer simulation technology (CST).In the designed waveband, the error of coupling between theoretical value and simulating one is less than 0.25 dB.The error of coupling between simulation value and designed value is less than 0.5 dB.To improve the isolation, some spaces between two adjacent holes are turned from the traditional 1/4 centre guided wavelength.The performance of isolation has 5 dB improvement, and length of the coupling area is only 51.06 mm.

    Simulation of distributed optical fiber disturbance detection system based on Sagnac/Mach-Zehnder interferometer and cross-correlation location

    查看更多>>摘要:A distributed optical fiber disturbance detection system consisted of a Sagnac interferometer and a Mach-Zehnder interferometer is demonstrated.Two interferometers outputs are connected to an electric band-pass filter via a detector respectively.The central frequencies of the two filters are selected adaptively according to the disturbance frequency.The disturbance frequency is obtained by either frequency spectrum of the two interferometers outputs.An alarm is given out only when the Sagnac interferometer output is changed.A disturbance position is determined by calculating a time difference with a cross-correlation method between the filter output connected to the Sagnac interferometer and derivative of the filter output connected to the Mach-Zehnder interferometer.The frequency spectrum, derivative and cross-correlation are obtained by a signal processing system.Theory analysis and simulation results are presented.They show that the system structure and location method are effective, accurate, and immune to environmental variations.

    查看更多>>摘要:A novel quantum dots (QDs) optical fiber amplifier was proposed and demonstrated.It was fabricated by dipcoating the PbSe QDs doped sol onto the taper region of fiber coupler.The PbSe QDs was synthesized according to a colloidal method.A lower refractive index sol was also synthesized as the host of PbSe QDs.A standard single mode fiber was used to make the fusion tapered fiber coupler which had double input and output ports.With the simple structure, a signal and a pump can be injected into the amplifier and excite the PbSe QDs through evanescent wave.The experimental results indicated that the amplified light wave was observed at 1 550 nm wavelength with 980 nm wavelength laser diode as pump.
