    查看更多>>摘要:In this paper, the Toda equation and the discrete nonlinear Schr(o)dinger equation with a saturable nonlinearity via the discrete (G'/G) -expansion method are researched. As a result, with the aid of the symbolic computation, new hyperbolic function solution and trigonometric function solution with parameters of the Toda equation are obtained. At the same time, new envelop hyperbolic function solution and envelop trigonometric function solution with parameters of the discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation with a saturable nonlinearity are obtained. This method can be applied to other nonlinear differential-difference equations in mathematical physics.

The necessary and sufficient conditions of A;-smoothness of lM and l(M) are obtained, respectively. Finally, we give the counterexamples which show that previous results are not true.

    Impact analysis of natural disasters using interrelation of infrastructure and associated industries

    查看更多>>摘要:Most serious natural disasters cause fatalities and injuries, and result in infrastructure damage, economic impacts, and social effects. With respect to the nature of impacts, it is important to understand the direct and indirect impacts of natural disasters on infrastructure and industries. In this paper, a holistic disaster impact analysis framework is presented to support more understanding of natural disaster events with respect to inter-relation of infrastructure and associated industries. Disaster impact mechanism and inter-relations based on critical function of industries derived from the extensive literature review and case studies. To develop the framework, service factor was chosen to measure the level of inter-relations and proper weights for each inter-relation between infrastructure and associated industries were obtained by surveying experts in the area of disaster mitigation, emergency organizations, and infrastructure management. This paper focuses on the impact analysis of hurricane type disaster and the outcome can also be applied to other types of disasters.

    查看更多>>摘要:Through the experiments of 7 T-section composite beams, steel fiber reinforced self-stressing concrete (SFRSC) as the composite beam in the composite layer was studied under the hogging bending. The tests simulated composite layer tensile strain under the hogging bending of inverted loading composite beams, and studied the relationship under the different fatigue stress ratios between fatigue cycles and steel bar's stress range, crack width, stiffness loss and damage, etc., in composite layer. This article established fatigue life equation, and analyzed SFRSC reinforced mechanism to crack width and stiffness loss. The results show that SFRSC as the composite beam concrete has excellent properties of crack resistance and tensile, can reinforce the fatigue crack width and stiffness loss of composite beams, and improve the durability and in normal use of composite beams in the hogging bending zone.

    Isotropic dual p-surface area measure

    查看更多>>摘要:It is shown that a convex body has minimal dual p-surface area among its affine transformations of the same volume if and only if its dual p-surface area measure is isotropic. A double-sided estimate for the (n - 1)-dimensional volume of the intersection of a dual p-surface isotropic convex body in terms of its affine invariant dual p-surface quantity is given. Furthermore, the dual p-isopermetric inequality is obtained.
