查看更多>>摘要:Introduction:The aim of this study was to examine whether there is a relationship between maxil ary buccal y malposed canine and sagit al facial type.Methods:Total y 50 pa-tients with maxil ary buccal y malposed canine were divided into 2 groups (the unilateral maxil ary buccal y malposed canine group,the bilateral maxil ary buccal y malposed canine group),and their cephalometric films were measured and analyzed.They were further divided into ClassⅠ,Ⅱand Ⅲfacial types according to ANB and the constituent ratio were calculated.SPSS 17.0 soft-ware package was applied for Student’s t test and chi-square test.Results:SNA,ANB,L1 -NB,NA-PA,L1 -MP and Wits were smal er than the normal value in the 2 groups;In the bilateral maxil ary buccal y malposed canine group,they were smal er than the unilateral maxil ary buccal y malposed canine group.Convexity,U1 -NA,U1 -NA,and U1 -L1 were greater than the nor-mal value in groups of unilateral and bilateral malposed canine;they were greater in the bilateral malposed canine.The sagit al facial type of 50 patients was mainly Class I (58%),but Class III in group of two canines malposed increased to 40%.Conclusions:Maxil ary buccal y malposed canine might result in short maxil ary basal bone.The bilateral maxil ary buccal y malposed canine has the greater influence than the unilateral on sagit al facial type and tends to be ClassⅢ facial type.
