    Strong-coupling superconductivity with Tc above 70 K in Be-decorated monolayer T-graphene

    查看更多>>摘要:Using first-principles calculations,we predict a new type of two-dimensional(2D)beryllium(Be)-decorated T-graphene named BeC2,where Be atoms are inserted into C-C bonds linking the carbon tetrarings of T-graphene.The band structure shows that BeC2 is metallic,thus,the possible phonon-mediated superconductivity is explored based on the Eliashberg equation.The calcu-lated electron-phonon coupling(EPC)constant λ is up to 4.07,and the corresponding superconducting critical temperature(Tc)is 72.1 K,approaching the liquid nitrogen temperature.The reason for the high Tc is the strong EPC.And it is proved to be an anisotropic single-gap superconductor by analyzing the superconducting gap △k of BeC2.The electronic susceptibility calcula-tion shows strong nesting effect in BeC2.Since rare 2D superconductors show such a strong EPC constant λ which originates from the coupling between electrons in C-pz orbital and in-plane vibrations of Be and C atoms,the predicted BeC2 provides a new platform for investigating strong EPC 2D superconductor.

    查看更多>>摘要:Recent claim of discovering above-room-temperature superconductivity(Tc≈400 K)at ambient pressure in copper doped apatite Pb10(PO4)6O has stimulated world-wide enthusiasm and impulse of motion.A lot of follow-up works have been carried out with controversial conclusions.To check whether superconductivity is really present or absent in the material,we need samples which should have a rather pure phase of Pb10-xCux(PO4)6O.Here we report the characterization results from the Pb10-xCux(PO4)6O with a fraction of about 97 wt.%inferred from the fitting to the X-ray diffraction pattern,if assuming Cu2S as the only impurity.The resistivity measurements show that it is a semiconductor characterized roughly by a ln(1/7)temperature dependence in wide temperature region without trace of superconductivity.Magnetization measurements show that it has a general ferromagnetic signal with a weak superparamagnetic background.Many grains of the sample show clear interactions with a NbFeB magnet.The detected Cu concentration is much lower than the expected nominal one.Our results show the absence of metallicity and superconductivity in Pb10_xCux(PO4)6O at ambient pressure,and suggest the presence of strong correlation effect.

    查看更多>>摘要:The FAST All Sky HI survey(FASHI)was designed to cover the entire sky observable by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST),spanning approximately 22000 square degrees of declination between-14° and+66°,and in the frequency range of 1050-1450MHz,with the expectation of eventually detecting more than 100000 HI sources.Between August 2020 and June 2023,FASHI had covered more than 7600 square degrees,which is approximately 35%of the total sky observable by FAST.It has a median detection sensitivity of around 0.76 mJy beam-1 and a spectral line velocity resolution of~6.4km s-1 at a frequency of~1.4GHz.As of now,a total of 41741 extragalactic HI sources have been detected in the fre-quency range 1305.5-1419.5 MHz,corresponding to a redshift limit of z(≤)0.09.By cross-matching FASHI sources with the Siena Galaxy Atlas(SGA)and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS)catalogs,we found that 16972(40.7%)sources have spec-troscopic redshifts and 10975(26.3%)sources have only photometric redshifts.Most of the remaining 13794(33.0%)HI sources are located in the direction of the Galactic plane,making their optical counterparts difficult to identify due to high extinction or high contamination of Galactic stellar sources.Based on current survey results,the FASHI survey is an unprecedented blind extragalactic HI survey.It has higher spectral and spatial resolution and broader coverage than the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA Survey(ALFALFA).When completed,FASHI will provide the largest extragalactic HI catalog and an objective view of HI content and large-scale structure in the local universe.

    查看更多>>摘要:We present the interstellar scintillation analysis of fast radio burst(FRB)20220912A during its extremely active episode in 2022 using data from the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope(FAST).We detect a scintillation arc in the FRB's secondary spectrum,which describes the power in terms of the scattered FRB signals'time delay and Doppler shift.The arc indicates that the scintillation is caused by a highly localized region.Our analysis favors a Milky Way origin of the ionized inter-stellar medium(IISM)for the localized scattering medium but cannot rule out a host galaxy origin.We present our method for detecting the scintillation arc,which can be applied generally to sources with irregularly spaced bursts or pulses.These methods could help shed light on the complex interstellar environment surrounding the FRBs and in our Galaxy.

    查看更多>>摘要:Herein,we present a deep-learning technique for reconstructing the dark-matter density field from the redshift-space distribution of dark-matter halos.We built a UNet-architecture neural network and trained it using the COmoving Lagrangian Acceleration fast simulation,which is an approximation of the N-body simulation with 5123 particles in a box size of 500h-1Mpc.Further,we tested the resulting UNet model not only with training-like test samples but also with standard N-body simulations,such as the Jiutian simulation with 61443 particles in a box size of 1000 h-1Mpc and the ELUCID simulation,which has a different cosmol-ogy.The real-space dark-matter density fields in the three simulations can be reconstructed reliably with only a small reduction of the cross-correlation power spectrum at 1% and 10% levels at k=0.1 and 0.3 h Mpc-1,respectively.The reconstruction clearly helps to correct for redshift-space distortions and is unaffected by the different cosmologies between the training(Planck2018)and test samples(WMAP5).Furthermore,we tested the application of the UNet-reconstructed density field to obtain the velocity & tidal field and found that this approach provides better results compared with the traditional approach based on the linear bias model,showing a 12.2%improvement in the correlation slope and a 21.1%reduction in the scatter between the predicted and true velocities.Thus,our method is highly efficient and has excellent extrapolation reliability beyond the training set.This provides an ideal solution for determining the three-dimensional underlying density field from the plentiful galaxy survey data.

    查看更多>>摘要:Stars with initial masses in the range of 8-25 solar masses are thought to end their lives as hydrogen-rich supernovae(SNe Ⅱ).Based on the pre-explosion images of Hubble space telescope(HST)and Spitzer space telescope,we place tight constraints on the progenitor candidate of type ⅡP SN 2023ixf in Messier 101.Fitting of the spectral energy distribution(SED)of its progenitor with dusty stellar spectral models results in an estimation of the effective temperature as 3091-258+422 K.The luminosity is estimated as lg(L/L⊙)~4.83,consistent with a red supergiant(RSG)star with an initial mass of 12-1+2M⊙.The derived mass loss rate(6×10-6-9×10-6 M⊙ yr-1)is much lower than that inferred from the flash spectroscopy of the SN,suggesting that the progenitor experienced a sudden increase in mass loss when approaching the final explosion.In the infrared bands,significant deviation from the range of regular RSGs in the color-magnitude diagram and period-luminosity space of the progenitor star indicates enhanced mass loss and dust formation.Combined with new evidence of polarization at the early phases of SN 2023ixf,such a violent mass loss is likely a result of binary interaction.
